A Computer has many parts.

All the parts of the computer together make the computer system.

Hardware Software

• Hardware is that part of computer • Software is that part of the computer

which you can see and touch which makes the hardware work.

Examples: Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse Software cannot be touched. and the part inside the CPU box. Examples: Windows, Paint, Microsoft

2 Input Devices

Input devices are those devices that are used to enter data and instructions into the computer

3 Processing Devices

Central Processing Unit (CPU) The Central Processing Unit

(CPU) process the input given by the input devices. It actually execute the instructions.

4 Output Devices

The devices on which the output is produced after processing is called output devices.

5 Storage Devices

The computer uses data and software.

So the computer needs devices to store data and software. For this, the computer uses storage devices or memory devices. Hard disk Pendrive Examples: Hard disk, Pendrive, CD(Compact Disc)/DVD(Digital Versatile Disc), Memory card, etc.
