Hello Tennessee AIM Coaches,

First let me introduce myself. My name is Rob Mathis and I am the new AIM Director for the state. I have been a coach for 10 years and have been involved with the AIM program in Tennessee since it began. I really appreciate all the work and effort that our outgoing AIM Director, Robin Smith, put into the program. I look forward to continuing his efforts to grow the program across the state.

We are a little less than one month out from the AIM State Shoot on June 12th and 13th, 2018 in Nashville at the Nashville Gun Club. Hopefully you got a copy of the shoot program in the mail, if not, I am attaching a copy of the AIM program along with a list of all the awards that will be given out for the AIM State Shoot in the EXACT ORDER they will be awarded for tie break purposes. We will be using PRESQUAD.COM to pre-register for the AIM shoot like we have done in previous years. Registration will open on Monday May 21st.

This method helps the scoring software vendor import the shooters and not have to re-enter the names manually. Please keep in mind the following when using PRESQUAD:

1. We will be using 12 fields (fields 1-12). We will NOT be rotating fields at the 50 break so you should plan to shoot all 100 targets on the same field. 2. If you want to make sure your squads end up on the same field, please put your squads 12 squads apart. In other words, squads 5, 17, 29, 41, etc. would all shoot in the same field. 3. We will start with 48 squads for Singles, 24 for Handicap, and 24 for Doubles. If necessary, we will open more squads once those fill up. Even though Singles is listed in the program with two different fees for each 100, shooters will squad once and keep the same squad number for day two. Also, you should plan on paying for both days on Tuesday. In other words, if you are just shooting singles, the fee will be $70 and should be paid on Tuesday. This fee includes the daily fee for each day.

WE WILL BEGIN at 9:00 A.M. on Tuesday morning with the first 100 Singles targets. Wednesday the day will begin with Doubles at 9:00 A.M. and then Singles will continue at the end of the doubles event.

The Starting field will be determined before the shoot and I will email out the starting field number if possible or you should look at the squad board on the day of the shoot for your field number. I will use your PRESQUAD information to calculate the squad’s class and category. I can pull their averages from the ATA database. What I am not sure how to do is to determine the ladies from the ATA records. I will likely need the coaches to help me determine the lady shooters at registration.
