report sets out the methodology and findings of the Burnham-on-Sea, Berrow and Highbridge Green Space Strategy. The strategy sets out analysis in terms of quantity, quality and accessibility of green spaces within the defined study area and also considers the views of the Parish and Town Councils. This report has been produced by consultants CFP in partnership with Sedgemoor District Council and draws upon the detailed mapping and audit undertaken previously by the authority. This report has been produced to help inform the authority’s planning policy process as well as wider greenspace management, maintenance and development. As such this report is intended to be a semi-technical document whose audience is intended to be primarily internal to Sedgemoor District Council but will also be of interest to some external specialist stakeholders. Burnham-on-Sea, Berrow and Highbridge Green Space Strategy – February 2009 1 2 Study Area Profile The Study Area includes the urban areas of Burnham-on-Sea, Berrow and Highbridge and the study area boundary has been drawn to be coterminous with ward boundaries and the boundary for Berrow Parish. The western extent of the study area boundary has been modified to include only the coastal areas above mean high water mark. Figure 1 shows the boundary of the study area. 2.1 Introduction This section of the report considers the profile of the study areas in terms of 2001 Census and deprivation data

PCSO Rourke gave a brief report on recent activities, particularly drawing attention to problems with rural burglaries. She sought vigilance from all members of the community. She would confirm telephone contact details and in the meantime could be contacted by email. Members related a particular issue with parking on pavements and in the vicinity of the A372/Kings Drive junction which the PCSO would follow up. 83/16 Planning Application 53/17/02 - Power Poles at Westonzoyland Airfield With this item on the Agenda and the representation from interested members of the public, the Chairman adjourned the formal meeting to enable members of the public to comment on the application and raise issues. Significant issues were raised in opposition to the proposal and were discussed at length. It was indicated that the address in the application should be Burdenham Drove and not Springway Lane. The Parish Council unanimously supported opposition to the planning proposal contained in the application for reasons which are included in Min 90/16 Below. RESOLVED: 1.

The survey simply sought to gain an up-to-date insight into the nature and scale of local housing need across the parish of Ashcott. An earlier HNA, published in January 2013, is now out of date. The Sedgemoor District Council (SDC) AFHDT is a small-dedicated team with the specific responsibility to oversee the delivery of new affordable housing. The team are part of the wider SDC Housing, Health & Wellbeing Service. Building on successful records of accomplishment of delivering affordable homes in rural communities, the AFHDT provides support and advice to parish councils, landowners, developers and registered providers with the aim of developing new affordable housing.
