24/7 PRAYER FOR REVIVAL IN 8 – 14 March 2021

THEME PRAY FOR SPIRITUAL AND PHYSICAL RAIN

Rain down, you heavens, from above, And let the skies pour down righteousness; Let the earth open, let them bring forth salvation, And let righteousness spring up together. I, the LORD, have created it. (Isaiah 45:8).

MONDAY: 8 March 2021 LET US SEARCH OUR HEARTS FIRST! Let us search our hearts and ask God to show us those sins that separate us from Him and His mercies upon us.

Scripture Reading: Isaiah 59:1-2 – Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear. 1 Kings 18:37 – Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that You are the LORD God, and that You have turned their hearts back to You again.

Let us pray: Wait on the Holy Spirit and ask Him to search your heart. As the Holy Spirit convicts, bring your sins before the Lord in confession, and turn away from them (repent). Thank Him for His forgiveness and share the joy of His forgiveness with others.

TUESDAY: 9 March 2021 INJUSTICE IN THE WORKPLACE You might be aware of past or present injustices between employers and employees. Especially in your workplace. It could even be against the person that comes to work in your garden or home.

Scripture Reading Malachi 3:5 - And I will come near you for judgment; I will be a swift witness against sorcerers, against adulterers, against perjurers, against those who exploit wage earners and widows and orphans, and against those who turn away an alien—because they do not fear Me," Says the LORD of hosts.

Let us pray: Ask for forgiveness for injustices. For the restoration of justice in the workplace across all sectors of our economy. That people will not blame each other but will repent together and ask God's help. For reconciliation in the marketplace, in your workplace, and between farmers and farm workers. Pray for a specific workplace or farm by name.

WEDNESDAY: 10 March 2021 RETURN TO GOD By nature, we all seek personal interests and gain. It is also the order of the day, even in all levels of governance and in the marketplace.

Scripture Reading: Matthew 6:33 – But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Jeremiah 2:13 - For My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, And hewn themselves cisterns—broken cisterns that can hold no water.

Let us pray: That God will have mercy on our nation South Africa, and that He will hear the cry of our hearts. As a symbolic act kneel, turn your face towards Him and stretch out your hands as you pray.

THURSDAY: 11 March 2021 PRAY FOR FARMERS Many farmers have lost hope and have become bitter. Many of them are persevering through their 7th year of drought and must continue to feed their animals at great cost. Many farmers have given up, as some have experienced great personal losses.

Scripture Reading: Psalm 126:5 - Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy.

Let us pray: For farmers to be encouraged through God's faithfulness with a renewed hope. Thank God for farmers who are helping the farmers in drought-stricken areas with food for their livestock. Ask for the protection of these convoys en route to drought-stricken areas and for sustained resources until the drought is broken. If you know any farmer pray for him, his family and his farm/farms by name. If you are a farmer pray for other farmers whom you know. If you are a farmer's wife, pray earnestly for your husband. Pause and pray during your next visit to the vegetable or fruit aisle of your local supermarket.

Ask that they will put the interests of their residents first and relinquish selfish personal ambitions. Pray for creative ways to harness water resources. Ask for a sense of responsibility and a will to maintain and fix water supply, treatment, and distribution infrastructure. Pray for criminals that prey on these infrastructures to relinquish their evil plans. Pray for your local municipality by name.

Scripture Reading: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 - …in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
