Short Title These Regulations may be cited as the Stephenville Development Regulations. 2. Interpretation (1) Words and phrases used in these Regulations shall have the meanings ascribed to them in Schedule A. (2) Words and phrases not defined in Schedule A shall have the meanings that are commonly assigned to them in the context in which they are used in the Regulations. 3. Commencement These Regulations come into effect throughout the Stephenville Municipal Planning Area, hereinafter referred to as the Planning Area, on the date of publication of a notice to that effect in the Newfoundland Gazette. 4. Urban and Rural Planning Act 2000 - Ministerial Development Regulations Newfoundland Regulation 3/01, Development Regulations under the Urban and Rural Planning Act 2000 (Ministerial Development Regulations), enacted under Section 36 of the Act, shall apply to development within the Planning Area. Where there is a conflict between the Ministerial and the Town's Development Regulations, the Ministerial Development Regulations shall prevail. The Ministerial Development Regulations are included with the Stephenville Development Regulations. 5. Municipal Code and Regulations The Building Code including the Plumbing Code, the Fire Code, the Electrical Code, and any other ancillary code and any Building Regulations, Waste Disposal Regulation and/or any other municipal regulations regulating or controlling the development, conservation and use of land in force in the Town of Stephenville, shall, under these Regulations apply to the entire Planning Area. 6.
