Kama`aina First Program • The voluntary program was launched in June to help kick-start our economy by having local businesses offer great deals and discounts to residents on the www.kamaainafirst.com website. • The program has evolved, and the website has hundreds of offers ranging from discounts on staycations, activities, meals, services and products. • Launching in June, the website has 700 registered vendors and thousands of users. Kama`aina First Program • Now, the Kama`aina First Program is offering incentives to visitors who voluntarily help keep our community safe and healthy by taking a COVID-19 test 72 hours after their arrival. • Visitors who agree to test, protect themselves and protect our community. • Visitors who take the test receive a mahalo card for doing their part to keep our community healthy during their stay on Maui. • Vendors can opt out of the program. • Our hope is for vendors to gain new customers through the Kama`aina First program and various promotions.
