A Message From the Board No matter how long I am associated with PA CleanWays, Inc., I will never stop being amazed by what a few concerned citizens can do when combined with PA CleanWays’ technical assistance. From October 2002 through September 2004, nearly 5,600 volunteers, community partners, and PA CleanWays staff removed 40,156 tires and properly disposed of a staggering 2,673 tons of trash and scrap metal that was spoiling our greenways, waterways, forests, and roadways during 514 cleanups. Over 22,000 hours of volunteer time were donated. An additional 760 volunteers collected Board of Directors: nearly 15,700 tires through our Fugitive Tire Program. Brenda Barth All across Pennsylvania, PA CleanWays staff continue to empower community Jim Bendel members to clean up and monitor thousands of illegal dump sites. And, we are Gale Campbell committed to ensuring reductions in the waste stream beyond the clean up efforts. Pat Chapaitis Our innovative educational programs are designed to change beliefs and behaviors Bert Graham Doug Hauser to encourage recycling and prevent littering and illegal dumping. Joe Giglio I am proud to present our 2003-2004 Annual Report and ask that you, too, Bonnie Griffith become a part of the PA CleanWays’ mission to make the Commonwealth a cleaner Amy Jo Labi-Carando and greener place in which to live.
