We have simply summarized the more important and frequently misunderstood hunting and trapping regulations. Review this Digest carefully. If there is anything you do not understand, contact your nearest PA Game Commission office. Hunting and trapping are privileges in Pennsylvania. Remember, a license does not entitle you to trespass on private lands. Hunters and furtakers may be prosecuted for trespassing, whether or not a property is posted against hunting or trapping. Always ask permission to hunt or trap; make sure you are a welcomed guest of the landowner. A private landowner who permits hunting or trapping does not extend assurance that the premises are safe and does not assume responsibility or incur liability for injury. HUNTING BIG GAME OUT OF STATE? IF SO, CHECK OUT THE CWD PAGE ELSEWHERE IN THIS DIGEST. Hunters who harvest a deer with a PGC tag in its ear need to immediately report it to the PGC.
