Alpine F1 Team s’offre une double entrée dans les points en Grande-Bretagne Alpine F1 Team a placé ses deux voitures dans les points au Grand Prix de Grande- Bretagne, Fernando Alonso et Esteban Ocon terminant respectivement septième et neuvième au terme d’une course palpitante sur un circuit de Silverstone à guichets fermés. Ce résultat permet à Fernando de prolonger sa série à cinq tops dix consécutifs tandis que son équipier Esteban inscrit ses premiers points depuis Monaco. Si les deux pilotes conservaient leurs positions sur la grille à l’arrivée, la bataille était âprement disputée jusqu’au drapeau à damier. Esteban réalisait le meilleur envol à l’extinction des feux, mais le Français se retrouvait coincé entre Fernando et Sebastian Vettel. Les deux Alpine s’en tiraient indemnes avec Fernando au septième rang et Esteban au dixième à la fin du premier tour. Le drapeau rouge était cependant brandi peu après l’incident entre Max Verstappen et Lewis Hamilton à Copse en raison des réparations nécessaires sur les barrières de sécurité. Les débats reprenaient une demi-heure plus tard avec un nouveau départ arrêté. Fernando se hissait en sixième place avant de s’incliner face à Carlos Sainz tandis qu’Esteban ravissait le neuvième rang à Kimi Räikkönen au cinquième tour. Esteban rentrait aux stands pour chausser des pneumatiques durs neufs au dix-neuvième tour, imité par Fernando au vingt-quatrième passage. Le pit-stop de l’Espagnol lui coûtait momentanément une position aux dépens de Lance Stroll avant qu’il ne réplique en plongeant à Brooklands. -

ALPINE F1 TEAM ZAHAJUJE SVOU SEZÓNU 2021 2.3.2021 • Alpine F1 Team představil strategickou vizi svého angažování ve F1 již v sezoně 2021 na Mistrovství světa FIA ve F1. • A521 oblékl historické soutěžní barvy Alpine: modrou, bílou a červenou – barvy francouzské a britské vlajky. • Esteban Ocon se poprvé objevil v nových barvách týmu • Přítomen byl nový ředitel soutěže Davide Brivio po boku generálního ředitele Alpine Laurenta Rossiho a výkonného ředitele Marcina Budkowskiho. • Guanyu Zhou zůstane zkušebním pilotem stáje v r. 2021. • Alpine F1 Team zdůraznil podporu svých výsadních partnerů: bp Castrol, MAPFRE, DuPont, Microsoft, EURODATACAR, Bell & Ross, le coq sportif, a RCI Banque, a nesmíme opomenout i jeho významné dodavatele a partnery na poli technologií. Alpine F1 Team oficiálně započal novou éru virtuálním zahájením první sezony svých dějin na Mistrovství světa FIA Formule 1. Letošní monopost, nazvaný A521, se pyšní perfektním úborem provedeným v barvách modrá, bílá a červená, které jsou synonymem dědictví závodní Alpine. Vůz bude vybaven hnacím agregátem Renault E-Tech 20B V6 1,6 l, projektovaným a vyvinutým ve Viry-Châtillon, kde francouzský výrobce motorů působí ve F1 nepřetržitě již pětačtyřicet let. A521 vychází z R.S.20, který soutěžil v sezoně 2020. V důsledku loňských změněných předpisů v průběhu pandemie byly hlavní strukturální díly A521 převzaty z loňska. Každý díl, který z tohoto rámce vybočoval, však byl vylepšen, zejména vzadu, což si vyžádala nová pravidla FIA v oblasti aerodynamiky. With every driver wanting to go faster and beat the previous best time, research and innovation in engineering of the car is really essential. Although higher speeds are the main criterion for determining the Formula 1 car’s aerodynamic setup, post the San Marino Grand Prix of 1994, the engineering research and development has also targeted for driver’s safety. The governing body of Formula 1, i.e. Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) has made significant rule changes since this time, primarily targeting car safety and speed. Aerodynamic performance of a F1 car is currently one of the vital aspects of performance gain, as marginal gains are obtained due to engine and mechanical changes to the car. Thus, it has become the key to success in this sport, resulting in teams spending millions of dollars on research and development in this sector each year. -

After all, one of your is likely to be the world champion team at the end of it. Christian, why don’t you start? Christian HORNER: First of all, it’s great to be back in Melbourne, good to be going racing again. It seems like a long winter this one. A positive first session for us, though obviously difficult to read too much into times but you start to get an bit of an idea. You can see Mercedes taking off where they left off; they look in great shape. I think we made good progress with the car over the winter. The drivers seem happy and I’m envisaging a quite tight battle with Maurizio but I’m not sure at the moment what the delta is to Toto’s cars. Toto? Toto WOLFF: Again, like Christian said, it’s good to get started again. We’ve had a pretty good test, much better than last year. But you’re never very sure where that will end up in the first race and the first session was OK, as expected. We didn’t see the Ferraris on the tyres that we have been running, and we need a little bit more time to understand, but I would say it’s a decent start. -

Nu hedder det Alpine Academy, og er en del af den Alpine organisation, der som spydspids har Alpine F1 Team. Christian Lundgaard er netop præsenteret som Alpine Academy driver Sidste sæson sluttede ikke så godt som Christian Lundgaard kunne ønske sig. De sidste par løb i Bahrain gik ikke helt efter planen, og han måtte se langt efter en podieplacering i Formel 2 mesterskabet. Men nu skriver vi 2021 og Christian er igen klar til at kæmpe om podiet - og der er store forventninger til ham. Alpine F1 Team har netop lanceret ham og fire andre til Alpine Acadamy. Christian Lundgaard får i denne sæson følgeskab af Guanyu Zhou, Oscar Piastri og Caio Collet, der alle også kørte sidste sæson – mens Victor Martins er ny mand ombord.
