NBC UNIVERSAL RETURNS TO CES NBC UNIVERSAL RETURNS TO THE INTERNATIONAL CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW AS OFFICIAL BROADCAST PARTNER FOR THE FOURTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR NEW YORK – January 3, 2011 – NBC Universal, the official broadcast partner of the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), today announced its plans for the world’s largest consumer technology trade show in Las Vegas from January 6th – 9th, 2011. NBC Universal will be showcasing the many ways consumers can shape and change their experiences with entertainment, news and information in the digital age by making content easily accessible on a multitude of platforms and devices, with a special focus on providing exciting content experiences for consumers. Featured content in the NBCUatCES booth this year will include Syfy Games, Tech, Taste and Talk by Bravo and Oxygen’s karaoke party. In addition, NBC Universal will be creating live programming from its booth (Central Hall #9831), with appearances by NBC Universal talent including Andy Cohen of Bravo, Maria Bartiromo of CNBC, Tamron Hall of MSNBC, chef Richard Blais of Bravo’s Emmy‐award winning “Top Chef All‐Stars,” Tamra Barney and Gretchen Rossi of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Orange County.” The NBCU broadcast stage on the show floor will feature live broadcasts of CNBC’s “Closing Bell” and MSNBC’s “Way Too Early” and “News Nation.” On Thursday, January 6th, the full spectrum of Syfy’s portfolio, which includes games, digital extensions and programming content, will be represented at CES. Syfy Games, part of Syfy’s commercial arm, Syfy Ventures, will re‐brand the booth to showcase games such as THQ’s DeBlob 2, Big Point’s Battlestar Galactica On Line, and the casual games of SyfyGames.com. In addition, Syfy and Trion Worlds will preview Trion’s newest game, Rift, with a live interactive demonstration. Syfy is a promotional partner of Trion’s Rift™. Bravo Media creates a real‐time social media experience at CES on Friday, January 7 with live shows and demos, as well as the introduction of @bravotv, where fans interact and engage with their favorite Bravolebrities. In addition, attendees will be able to check out Bravo Now, the network’s iPad app, a live viewing companion that allows fans to engage with their favorite shows during Bravo’s live events. In the center of it all is the By Bravo main stage, a large globe where you can sample molecular gastronomy cooking samples by current “Top Chef All‐Stars” chef Richard Blais, as well as watch as “The Real Housewives of O.C.’s” Tamra Barney and Gretchen Rossi joining Bravo’s own Andy Cohen, host of late night talk show “Watch What Happens: Live” as they interview guests and talk about the latest CES news. Oxygen Media brings its “Live Out Loud” sensibility to the NBCU booth on Saturday, January 8th, at 3 PM with an appearance by international music sensation Aubrey O’Day, the star of “All About Aubrey” Oxygen’s new docu‐reality series premiering in Spring 2011. O’Day will host a live chat with fans on www.Oxygenlive.com – the Network’s award‐winning real time water cooler as O’Day fields questions about her new series. All day long on Saturday and Sunday, Oxygen invites guests to visit its fully loaded experiential lounge and interactive space featuring iPads and the Oxygen Live App, which allows fans to drop in on the Oxy Live “real time” chat. In addition, the booth’s central globe will be transformed and visitors will be able to participate in the Oxygen Karaoke Globe where their performances will be made available to download and share. Visitors can also pop into the Bad Girls Club photo booth and walk away with a personalized one of a kind photo from the hit series. CNBC’s “Closing Bell” with Maria Bartiromo (M‐F, 3‐5 pm ET) will broadcast live on Thursday, January 6th and Friday, January 7th and feature Maria’s interviews with top CEOs as well as highlight the hottest products at the show. In addition, CNBC’s Media and Entertainment Reporter Julia Boorstin will provide live updates on how the media/technology convergence is impacting the creation of content and devices for CNBC’s “Business Day,” CNBC Europe, CNBC Asia and on her blog, Media Money, on CNBC.com. “The Wall Street Journal Report with Maria Bartiromo” will also originate from CES. During the live broadcasts of “Closing Bell,” CNBC’s suite of digital products, including the recently launched CNBC Real‐Time iPad App and the premium, professional‐level online and mobile service, CNBC PRO, will be on display at the NBC Universal booth. In partnership with Sharp, NBCU will again feature “The Hub” multimedia lounge, hosting top business and entertainment webcasters and bloggers as they post their reports digitally and through social media.
