Marshmello Marshmello is one of the known and rising names in the EDM community. He got international recognition in 2015 when he released his remixes of songs like Zedd’s “Beautiful Now” and later released his most success- ful song “Alone”. He started his career after posting his first song “WaVeZ” on Soundcloud and is steadily gaining popularity. He currently is ranked 28th on DJ Mag. Swedish House Mafia The years 2005-2015 may well be the golden era of the electronic music aka EDM the ball was rolling and everyone was riding on. Producers were coming up with new genres every other day with mind-blowing tracks. This meant that new producers were just waiting for their chance to have a piece of the cake. Among these were , Ingrosso and . The trio used to do shows together with fellow Swedish DJ . Soon friends and fans began labeling the four together as they played more and more shows together. Eventually the group came together officially and was born. Prydz decided against joining the group. Their first production together was “Get Dumb” which came out in June 2007, but the first single that was produced as Swedish House Mafia: “One” came out on May 2nd 2010 and my friends, the DROP was born. The “drop” changed the entire music experi- ence…it got you on your feet waiting for that Bass to drop. Most of the songs that you hear today like ‘Closer’ by Chainsmokers, ‘Wake me up’ by , ‘Summer’ by Calvin Harris…are because of these three guys. So for all your favorite tracks, these are the guys to thank. But all good things come to an end and SHM was no exception, for, on the 3rd December 2012, the whole world was shocked when they announced that they had decided to part ways… and on the 23rd March 2013 they performed for the last time, and the LEGENDARY track “Don’t You Worry Child” featuring John Martin was released as the world wept.
