On the Road to Boston by Beth Krummert

On Friday March 10, 2017 a group of Flyers fans boarded a couple of buses and headed to Boston for the upcoming Flyers game to be played the following day. We arrived in the city a little before 4:00PM and checked into our hotel. We had a few hours to get settled and explore some of Boston before our welcome get-together at Bell in Hand, the oldest tavern in America. We hung out and enjoyed a delicious food layout and great drinks while we mingled amongst ourselves. From there we spread out throughout the city checking out various establishments in the area.

The next morning we gathered at The Greatest Bar for a pre-game party. Great food and drinks were enjoyed while we got pumped up for the game cheering on the orange and black. We even found out about an engagement that happened on the trip! From there we made our way over to the game where we made sure everyone knew we were there to cheer on our team. Throughout the entire game there wasn't a moment that we weren't cheering the Flyers on. Unfortunately we didn't get the outcome we wanted with a heartbreaking loss in the final seconds of the game.

From there it was off to explore more of the city. One great spot to see was the Cheers Bar and to be able to sit at a replica set up of the show and have a drink. It was a fun trip, with great people and everyone seemed to have a good time. In the morning we had a little bit more time in Boston before we boarded the buses for the trek back home.
