Incorporáronse producións dos máis diversos xéneros (comedia, drama, cine negro, etc.), correntes (expresionismo alemán, neorrealismo italiano...) e épocas (dende os inicios do cine ata mediados dos anos sesenta). Todas elas atópanse actualmente no mercado, aínda que outras, a pesares da súa importancia na historia da séptima arte, tiveron que quedar excluidas por atoparse descatalogadas. En calquera caso, están presentes todas aquelas que consideramos que deberían formar parte da colección básica de toda biblioteca. A estrutura dos rexistros que forman esta bibliografía selectiva contén os seguintes campos : título do documento, autores (directores, guionistas, músicos, etc.), ano de produción da película, distribuidora do DVD, descripción física, nacionalidade, idioma ou idiomas do documento, así como os idiomas dos subtítulos (no caso de telos), descriptores, prezo e un campo de observacións que contén información sobre os premios obtidos pola película así como o título orixinal.
