January 2018 MANIFESTATIONS of ISLAMOPHO
DIALOGUE & OUTREACH Department OIC Islamophobia Observatory Monthly Bulletin – January 2018 MANIFESTATIONS OF ISLAMOPHOBIA: A. In the United States and Canada: US: Minnesota Republicans under fire for saying Muslims are infiltrating the party— Two Minnesota Republican state lawmakers and a local GOP official were facing scrutiny after they reportedly shared a Facebook post accusing Muslims of preparing to “infiltrate” the party’s caucuses this month. State Reps. Kathy Lohmer and Cindy Pugh, shared the post created by Dave Sina, chairman of the Fourth Congressional District GOP. In the post, Sina said a friend of his had attended a caucus training session held at a mosque by the Muslim American Society. MAS was a nonpartisan organization that promoted civic engagement among American Muslims with local chapters across the US. Sina claimed that Muslims were trying to “infiltrate our republican caucuses on Feb. 6” and that “they didn’t talk about the general election but I am sure they are ahead of us in that as well.” The local party chair played to a sense of hysteria that American Muslims were, and would always be, foreigners who want political influence only to harm the country. The former White House chief strategist faced mounting pressure to resign from Breitbart after he was quoted disparaging President Donald Trump and his family in a new book “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House” by Michael Wolff. -

33Rd Majlis Ansarullah Ijtema Uk Concludes in London with Address by Head of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community
DATED: 23-09-2015 33RD MAJLIS ANSARULLAH IJTEMA UK CONCLUDES IN LONDON WITH ADDRESS BY HEAD OF AHMADIYYA MUSLIM COMMUNITY More than 3,100 people from across the UK and abroad attend event On 20 September 2015, the World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the Fifth Khalifa (Caliph), His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad delivered the concluding address at the 32nd National Ijtema (Annual Gathering) of Majlis Ansarullah UK. The 3-day event, which was attended by more than 3,100 people from across the United Kingdom and abroad, was held at the Baitul Futuh Mosquecomplex in south-west London. During his address, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad referred to the fact that Majlis Ansarullah was celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2015. His Holiness said that the anniversary would only be worthy of celebration if it led to a moral and spiritual improvement amongst the members of the auxiliary organisation. Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said: “Celebrating the 75th anniversary of Majlis Ansarullah will only prove beneficial if it is a means of increasing your bond with God Almighty and motivates you towards self-analysis and spiritual reformation. If however, the anniversary only entails superficial celebrations or temporary improvements then there will be no benefit.” Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad continued: “In the overall scheme of things 75 years is not of itself a huge period of time or especially significant. There are a number of organisations that are just as old or even older. However, we see that, over time, such groups deviate from their original objectives and consequently their benefit to the world declines. -
Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad Said
Salat O ye who believe! seek help with patience and Prayer; surely, Allah is with the steadfast [ 2 : 154 ] Observe Prayer at the declining and paling of the sun on to the darkness of the night, and the recitation of the Qur’an in Prayer at dawn.[17:79] Narrated by Abu Huraira:- I heard Allah’s Apostle saying, “If there was a river at the door of any one of you and he took a bath in it five times a day, would you notice any dirt on him?” They said, “Not a trace of dirt would be left.” The Prophet added, “That is the example of the five prayers with which Allah blots out (annuls) evil deeds.” [Volume 1, Book 10, Number 506] “In reality, Salat is but a name for plunging into a fire, and after plunging into a fire of Divine love and fear of Allah, to burn one’s being and burn everything except Allah; and it is but a name for such a state where- in God, and only God remains in sight; and man progresses to such a state wherein he speaks when God wishes, and walks when God wishes; the whole of his moving or re- maining still, his performing an action or abandoning an action begins to conform to Allah’s will and the ego is annihilated.” (Malfuzat, Vol.10, pp.314) PRESS RELEASES OCTOBER 3, 2019 New Ahmadiyya Mosque Opened in Almere By Head of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Every mosque should be ‘a beacon of peace and sympathy for mankind’– Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad. -
