We are pleased to collaborate once again with our friends at Ziegler, a LeadingAge Gold Partner, to bring you this eagerly anticipated annual report of the largest, most complex not-for-profit senior living organizations. Since Ziegler came to us with the idea for the 2004 first edition, this report has expanded its focus from the 100 largest multi-site providers to the 150 largest. Along the way, it has grown from 80 pages that first year to nearly 200 pages today as we have added new areas of inquiry and expanded to include the largest government-subsidized housing multi-sites and single campuses. From oldest to youngest, from largest to smallest, each of these organizations has unique characteristics and a compelling story to tell. These are stories of enlightened leadership; commitment to mission; accountability to consumers and community; and incubation of new service possibilities. Ziegler The rankings in this report are based on size. So while the LeadingAge Ziegler 150 is not meant to be a qualitative report, behind each of the nonprofits ranked in this publication, nevertheless, is a story of governance and leadership committed to strategic transformation and growth, and long-term success. To support these efforts, we invite all LeadingAge members to explore the myriad tools and resources on our website, LeadingAge.org, and to call on our expert staff for assistance whenever the need arises in your work. We are proud to be your national representative, and we are here for you.
