Measure B, which was placed on the ballot by the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors on Jan. 8, would repeal Measure G, passed by Mendocino County voters in 2000. Measure G, the cannabis personal use ordinance, instructed law enforcement officers to make prosecution of anyone growing fewer than 25 marijuana plants their lowest priority. Late last year, the Board of Supervisors agreed to set med- ical marijuana limits at 25 plants in accor- dance with Measure G. If passed, Measure B would set posses- sion limits for medical marijuana at 12 immature or six mature plants and eight ounces of dried marijuana, the same as the limits set by the state. Ross Liberty, speaking for the Yes on B coalition, said no person growing 25 plants is doing so for personal use because even the sickest person does not

Readers share their memories Anton Stadium a ‘truly amazing place’ By KYLE BALDWIN for The Daily Journal I grew up there as much as I did in my own front yard. It is where my parents froze though winter football games and steamed under the summer sun during baseball season. I have a picture of it on my refrigerator and my Long Beach friends comment on what a beautiful ball park it is. When I come home to visit, I take walks there and tell my wife and kids exaggerated stories of what went on “back in the day.” If you go there on any evening in the Fall, you might hear an old familiar voice echoing off the hills... “You miss that tackle again, your ass is grass and I’m the mower!” Of course I am talking about the hallowed grounds of Anton Stadium and the voice of Pop Warner Brad Shear.
