 February 5th 1993 won US $ 3898 grant to research on “ Parent relations and adolescents’ independence in decision making in N airobi and Makueni Districts,Kenya by Organization for Social Science Research in Eastern Africa (OSSREA).  March 28th, 1994 won US $ 1,000 For writing a proposal on household factors that influence girls’ achievement motivation in Kenya by the African Academy of Sciences (AAS).  April 5th 2004 received UD$ 580 research grant for thesis writing from Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA).
