Linebackers Losing two starting linebackers, including an all-conference player, sounds like a bad thing. Apparently it’s not. “Linebacker is the strength of our football team. We not only have great players, but players with great character. Four of these guys are just outstanding,” says Meyer. Two of them play middle linebacker, where co-starters return in Ray Holdcraft (5-11, 242, Sr.) and Zach Tune (6-3, 238, Jr.). Jason Kaufusi (86), Lewis Powell (99) and Sione Pouha (90) are the reason why Utah’s defensive line is the most feared in the conference.
