Weyburn, Saskatchewan 2018 New Residents Guide Welcome New Residents! On behalf of the City of Weyburn, I would like to welcome you to your new home; I think you will be very happy here! Weyburn was recently voted the 5th best place to live in all of Canada and 1st on the prairies! Our residents benefit from many different housing options whether it is urban or rural, and in every location, services and amenities can be found nearby. Weyburn has big city convenience with small town care and compassion. Our community has low crime rates, economic strength, and amazing recreation options, all of which make Weyburn the perfect place to raise a family; we even have a Starbucks! Being a family oriented community means that children and youth are valued and as such we have many events and festivities that cater to family. I hope new residents will come out and see why we love our city! Weyburn is known throughout Saskatchewan as one of its most beautiful communities. High quality public parks and green spaces create a clean healthy environment, as seen at Jubilee Park or Tatagwa Parkway! If the green spaces in the city aren’t enough, many residents like to escape to nearby lakes and parks for a day of fishing or an easy vacation. I think that new citizens will find Weyburn very welcoming. We are a city that looks out for one another and strives for peace and security. We are a city focused on sustainability and we are proud of how far we have come. Our city council is always looking for new and innovative ways to carry Weyburn into a prosperous future for all of our community members. All of these things make Weyburn a jewel on the crown that is Saskatchewan. I look forward to seeing you out and about enjoying what Weyburn has to offer!
