STAFF REPORT 2020 PROPOSED PUBLIC HEARING AND DEVELOPMENT REVIEW CALENDAR

PUBLIC HEARING CALENDAR: The 2020 Public Hearing calendar is structured in the same format as the calendar adopted in previous years, with the only changes occurring during the month of August, and the holiday months of November and December (Exhibit A). The Planning Commission meeting dates have been changed to accommodate the holidays as follows:

• August 2020 – City Council meeting moved from August 18 (Tuesday) to August 19 (Wednesday) due to elections; • November 2020 – Planning Commission meeting moved from November 26 to November 19 (change due to shift of Planning Commission meeting from the fourth Thursday to the third Thursday for the Thanksgiving holiday); and • December 2020 – Planning Commission meeting moved from December 24 to December 17 (change due to shift of Planning Commission meeting from the fourth Thursday to the third Thursday for the Christmas holiday).

DEVELOPMENT REVIEW CALENDAR: The Staff Development Review Committee (SDRC) meeting dates have been added to the 2020 SDRC calendar (Exhibit B). The project submittal dates provide applicants a SDRC meeting date every week to have their development projects reviewed. Similar to past years, staff will have approximately two weeks to complete their review before a SDRC meeting.

The 2020 SDRC calendar is structured in the same format as the calendar adopted in previous years, with the only change occurring during the holiday month of January 2020. The SDRC meeting date has moved from January 1 (Wednesday) to January 2 (Thursday) due to the New Year’s Day holiday.
