Sharon Fairley** (candidate for Attorney General): A female democratic candidate in the race for Illinois Attorney General is recruiting for part-time interns to support this important campaign effort. The campaign is looking for students studying political science to work 15 to 20 hours per week recruiting and coordinating volunteer events, assisting in voter contact, collecting petition

2 signatures. Undergraduate and Graduate students are encouraged to apply. The successful applicants will have excellent computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, have strong writing skills, and a strong commitment to public service. IL-03: Marie Newman for Congress

Interns will have varied responsibilities including but not limited to being a part of our field program, research, assisting the finance team, social media, and community outreach. The idea applicant should be interested in the inner workings of campaigns, have an active knowledge of current events and political issues, be familiar with Google Drive, and be both a strong writer and researcher. Benjamin Wolf for Congress - Organizers and canvassers are needed for the Wolf campaign beginning the first week of September to qualify for ballot access. If interested please contact Toni Biasiello, she is our volunteer coordinator at [email protected]. Wolf is an adjunct professor at Roosevelt and a former FBI national security official and State Department diplomatic security liaison.

Mike Quigley for Congress – Rep. Quigley has spots for general interns with many responsibilities including staffing the Congressman at events, contacting voters, assisting with event set up, interacting with political figures, responding to emails, helping daily office operations, canvassing and drafting, copyediting emails and other materials. The Rock Island County (RICO) Democratic Party is seeking interns. Those interested should email [email protected] with a resume (little- to-no political experience is okay!) and be able to commit to at least five hours a week. Currently all internships are unpaid, but as local races hire on staff recommendations will be made based off merit.

Jill Blair is running for state Representative in the 88th District, which includes Washington and Morton counties, as well as part of McLean. Those interested in interning or volunteering should email a letter of interest, a resume, and at least three references at [email protected]. Interns would handle collecting petition signatures, communications (specifically designing and sending emails through MailChimp), fundraising, research on issues/assistance preparing position statements, volunteers (no references/resume necessary) would focus mainly on canvassing.

Summers for – the Summers campaign is looking to find 1-2 interns for the fall/winter season. 2-3 days a week, flexible on hours and located in the Loop. The ideal candidate must be proficient (or quick to learn) in databases and excel. Main functions include Fundraising/Outreach (events, acknowledgements, individual engagement, community events such as Young Professionals Reception, Women's Breakfast, Donor Receptions), Administrative (database management, vetting, strategy), and Communications (social media, email marketing). New Chicago Consulting Finance Interns

The New Chicago Consulting Internship Program seeks qualified candidates who are willing to be a part of the team. Interns will have a unique opportunity to work with the New Chicago Consulting staff as well as clients, donors, and community groups. The program is for dedicated individuals who have a strong interest in the multi-faceted political and public affairs realm. Interns will gain insight into the inner workings of strategic communications,

7 campaigns, fundraising and political affairs and will assist various duties in their day-to-day operations. This is an opportunity to work directly with senior staff members and gain valuable experience for your own career aspirations. We ask that interns make specific commitments in either a part-time program of at least 20 hours per week or a full-time program of 35 hours per week. Starting date: Mid-September through mid- November. Assignments are in suburban Cook County, Lake County, St. Clair County, Will County, DuPage County, Kane County and Will County. $15.00/hr.

Fritz for Assessor Part-Time Deputy Field Organizers, PAID

Looking for Deputy Field Organizers to start at the end of September. Deputy Field Organizers will report to Field Director. This is a part-time position with a 20-hour/week commitment. Responsibilities include working alongside the Field Director and Field Organizers, recruiting and managing volunteer, and coordinating with the team in executing successful events. Must be willing to

Sara Dady for Congress (IL-16) Finance Assistant

Sara Dady’s campaign is seeking a Finance Associate to begin immediately. The ideal applicant will be experienced, energized, and self-motivated. The Finance Associate will work directly with the candidate and campaign manager to manage all aspects of campaign finances. Responsibilities include executing the finance plan with the campaign manager and other staff, managing interns and the finance committee, and staffing events. Applicants should have at least one cycle of campaign experience (fundraising experience preferred), access to reliable transportation, a computer, and smartphone, have a working knowledge of VAN, and must be willing to relocate to Rockford, IL for the duration of the campaign. Democratic candidate for Illinois Governor is seeking a highly organized and motivated Field Outreach Coordinator for the March 2018 Primary.
