Some family historians have mistakenly identified this Ellen Blennerhassett b.c1840 Ireland (who m.13.2.1859 Francis Oliver Hale) with a different Ellen Blennerhassett who was bapt.1.9.1841 Marylebone, London, England (see page BCL 11, above) This cannot be so, because: 1. Ellen Blennerhassett bapt.1.9.1841 Marylebone (BCL 11) was in 1861 still unmarried, living with her mother Lucy Blennerhassett (nee Cox) at Marylebone, London 2. Ellen Blennerhassett who m. Francis Oliver Hale (whose family is shown on this page BCL 15) was b.c1840 in Ireland, not in England
