The Participants of the liquidation of consequences of Chornobyl disaster: 1 category – 133 persons 2 category – 473 persons 3 category – 43 persons Victims of the Chornobyl disaster: 1 category – 2322 persons 2 category – 151 persons 3 category – 33 159 persons Children – 14 310 persons Wives/husbands of died citizens whose death is connected with Chornobyl catastrophe – 697 persons *The National Institute for Strategic Studies THE COMMON COMPENSATIONS AND PRIVILEDGES T H E L A W O F U K R A I N E „ About the status and social protection of the citizens who suffered from Chornobyl disaster” Article 20, 21: Free acquisition of medicaments and free priority dental prosthetics (for the categories 1 and 2 – unconditionally; for the category 3 and disabled children in connection with Chornobyl disaster – if average aggregate profit at one person per month doesn’t exceed the tax social benefit) – 3,5 million hryvnas have been funded. Article 20: Free provision with vouchers for sanatorium-and-spa treatment (for the category 1 and disabled children in connection with Chornobyl disaster) (the cost of a voucher is 5 200 hrn.) – 3,2 million hryvnas have been funded. *The National Institute for Strategic Studies THE COMMON COMPENSATIONS AND PRIVILEDGES T H E L A W O F U K R A I N E „ About the status and social protection of the citizens who suffered from Chornobyl disaster” Article 20, 21: Compensation of the cost of food stuffs (for the category 1 – 415,80 hrn. per one person; for the category 2 – 207,90 hrn. per one person) - 12,7 million hryvnas have been funded. Article 20,21,30: Pay for using apartments and for using public utilities in sum 50% (for the categories 1 and 2 – unconditionally; for the category 3 and disabled children in connection with Chornobyl disaster – if average aggregate profit at one person per month doesn’t exceed the tax social benefit) – 10 million hryvnas have been funded. *The National Institute for Strategic Studies THE COMMON COMPENSATIONS AND PRIVILEDGES T H E L A W O F U K R A I N E „ About the status and social protection of the citizens who suffered from Chornobyl disaster” Article 48: Compensations of the harm for health (for categories 1 and 2 and category 3 disaster fighters) – 379,3 thousand hryvnas have been funded; Article 47: Holidays (leaves) for the citizens who work in the area of guaranteed voluntary eviction (zone 3) – 11,2 million hryvnas have been funded; Article 20: Preferential holidays (16 days) for the categories 1 and 2 – 534,7 thousand hryvnas have been funded: Service for the organizers who provide free feeding for the children suffered from Chornobyl disaster in the educational institutions of the town – 15,6 million hryvnas have been funded; Resolution № 155 of 08.02.1997: Compensations for children’s parents for not feeding in the educational institutions of the town – 1,6 million hryvnas have been funded. *The National Institute for Strategic Studies THE DEBTS ACCORDING TO COURT DECISIONS T H E L A W O F U K R A I N E „ About the status and social protection of the citizens who suffered from Chornobyl disaster” There are 13 thousand unsatisfied judgments which are registered in the Administration of labor and social protection of the population of Korosten. According to these judgments and according to the articles 37, 39, and 48 the Administration of labor and social protection is obliged to pay compensatory assets for the citizens who live in the areas of the radioactive contamination. The total of the state debt is 55 million hryvnas on 01.11.2017. There is practice of judicial recourses to the European court in connection with unsatisfied judgments of the national courts. *The National Institute for Strategic Studies .
