We acknowledge that publication of this document marks a significant step and note that the policy content is consistent with the suite of other Mayoral strategies on which you have already consulted. The Draft London Plan has been discussed in a workshop with elected Members from Barnet’s Planning Committees and Local Plan Working Group, and the response was authorised in draft at a meeting of our Policy and Resources Committee on 13th February. Detailed comments on individual draft policies are provided in Appendix A. Duty to cooperate and the overarching policy direction This letter highlights specific policy concerns on the Draft London Plan, as well as the evidence that sits behind it. Our response sets out a willingness to work with the London Plan team to resolve concerns prior to the Examination in Public. The London Plan together with the Local Plan forms part of our development plan and we recognise it must be taken account of in any planning decisions. -

The old saying tells us that absence makes the heart grow fonder but when absence is prolonged perhaps the fondness becomes somewhat diminished. I write this as a consequence of many phone calls in recent years regarding the scant appearances on Radio2 of the BBC Concert Orchestra. A few years ago, we had 2 or3 regular broadcasts every week by our favourite orchestra, but now it is just usually one a week and sometimes not even that. I know that they appear from time to time on Radio3, but not in my opinion playing the type of music which they do best or indeed the music for which they were originally intended. -

Environment Committee 21 January 2019 Highways Planned Maintenance Title Programme 2019/20 Report of Chainman of the Environment Committee Wards All Status Public Urgent No Key No Appendix A: Proposed Carriageway and Footway Works by Enclosures Wards for Year 5 of the Network Recovery Programme during 2019/20 Officer Contact Details Jamie Blake, [email protected] Summary This report seeks the Committee’s approval for the delivery of the 2019/20 Highway Planned Maintenance and Network Recovery Plan (NRP) Work Programme listed in Appendix A, totalling £6.525 million to be funded from the agreed NRP Capital allocation of £50.365 million over 5 years. The work programme has been primarily developed based on condition assessment survey data and deterioration modelling. The proposed schemes have been identified and prioritised to give a spread of schemes across the borough, using whole life costing and good asset management principles to ensure that investment is targeted where it is most needed. The investment split for 2019/20 will be as follows: 55% footway, 40% carriageway and 5% structures, drainage, road markings and other highway assets. Officer’s Recommendations 1. That the Committee approves, subject to full council agreeing the final 2019/20 capital programme, the capital expenditure of £6.525 million for the delivery of the 2019/20 Planned Maintenance and Network Recovery Plan work programme consisting of carriageway and footway renewal works as listed in Appendix A of this report, carriageway patching and associated works. 2. That the Committee agrees the proposed investment proportions detailed in paragraph 5.2.3 of this report. -

He was born Jeno Waldhorn Gassner on January 30, 1903, in Máramarossziget, Hungary, and his family emigrated to the United States in 1911. He showed an early interest in theatre, appearing in a school production of Shakespeare’s The Tempest in 1915. Gassner attended Dewitt Clinton High School in New York City and was a supporter of socialism during this era. -
