Facts & Figures

The ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships will be held in Anaheim, USA for the first time. The USA has hosted the ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships four times before in Salt Lake City (2001) and in Colorado Springs (2006, 2007, 2012).

A total of 88 skaters from 14 ISU members have been entered for the Championships.

 31-year-old ice dancer (CAN) is the oldest skater competing in the Championship (date of birth Feb 25 1987)  At age 29, POJE’s partner (CAN) is the oldest female skater (dob Apr 12, 1989)  The youngest competitor is 15-year-old single skater Eunsoo LIM of Korea (dob Feb 26, 2003)  The youngest male skater competing is Kazakhstan’s 16-year-old Nikita MANKO (dob May 24, 2002)

One skater celebrates her birthday during the event:  Isadora WILLIAMS (BRA) will turn 23 on Friday, Feb 8, the day of the Ladies

There is one brother-and-sister-team competing at the Championship:  and (AUS) in the and Men’s events

There is one husband-and-wife-team competing:  / (JPN) in the Ice Dance event

One skater competes in two disciplines in the Championship:  (AUS) in Men’s singles and in Ice Dance

All four reigning Four Continents Champions are back: Ladies champion (JPN), Men’s Champion Boyang JIN (CHN), Pairs Champions Tarah KAYNE/Danny O’SHEA (USA) and Ice Dance Champions /Jean-Luc BAKER (USA). Several former Four Continents Champions are competing as well: 2017 Ladies Champion Mai MIHARA (JPN), four-time (2012, 2014, 2016, 2017) Pairs Champions Wenjing SUI/Cong HAN (CHN), 2010 & 2015 Ice Dance Champions Kaitlyn WEAVER/Andrew POJE (CAN) and 2014 Ice Dance Champions / (USA).
