Khairy's DAP comment an admission of stupidity .com Aug 18, 2013

VOXPOP ‘Khairy is no different from the rest of the Umno leaders, whose slander is not evidence-based or empirically-based.'

Which part of DAP's explanations did KJ not get? vox populi small thumbnailSlumdog: I congratulate you for a rational, coherent and well-articulated response to the nonsensical statement by Sports Minister that DAP's decision to conduct a CEC re-election is "an admission of guilt".

Those who would have thought Khairy to be well educated and represented the future generation of intelligent and progressive Umno politicians would feel disappointed by his recent unsubstantiated and unintelligent rants.

Fair Play: Tony Pua, don't you know that Khairy was baiting DAP? When DAP decided to call for another meeting to reelect its CEC members, nothing you said could change the fact that DAP has to 'comply' with the Registrar of Societies (ROS) directive.

To him and to some people, that is DAP's 'admission of guilt' and is 'evidence-based' too. Move on and fight another battle where you have a better chance of success.

Anonymous #708871335: DAP is doing the decent thing by having reelection. In Umno's AGM of 1987, Ku Li (Gua Musang MP ) failed to unseat Mahathir as president by a mere 40 votes.

It was later found that there were 30 illegal branches in Umno's registry. Don't know put there by whom, but Mahathir was then president and his crony Sanusi Junid was secretary general and nobody would have gotten past them to put the 30 branches in.

Anyway Mahathir did not do the decent thing to hold a reelection, they allowed the party to get deregistered, meaning the PM and cabinet ministers still remain.

The deregistration allowed them to get rid of all in Umno opposed to Mahathir's clique. Then they proceeded to form Umno Baru with only people that they wanted, so that all dissenting voices were silenced.

Now, that is what I call a dirty trick.

Bystander: Khairy is no different from the rest of the Umno dumbos, who just slander without any evidence based or empirically based facts. It is a known fact that they never practice what they preach.

Pacific.rim: What's wrong with admission of guilt - it's a strength in resolving problems and moving on - a leadership quality unlike Umno, who is arrogant and always covering up its mistakes with more mistakes, making abuses over abuses for personal gains.

Since moving out of the fifth floor, KJ is playing up the role again on the ground floor after getting a ministerial post. The sports minister should just play his game in his own court and not be busybody outside his boundary. Go play kites.

Samurai: It is okay for Khairy to shoot his mouth off like a school kid with his preschool logic as Umno Youth chief, but as a minister, we expect more thoughtful statements, what more with his educational background.

Add to the fact that as a statesman commenting on a civil service matter, his lower officers are looking up to him as an example.

Khairy's statement in effect condones what ROS has done, that is, act completely arbitrarily without citing any laws, and being arrogant at that too.

As I understand, whenever the government takes any actions, it comes with citing the relevant law for doing so. Speaking as a minister, Khairy only encourages other civil servants to be as careless and flippant in their work.

And you wonder why, the police for instance, are in such a sad state. The cops may as well say, ‘I don't need a law to shoot you, and if you die, it's an admission of guilt'.

Boonpou: There is simply no need for Khairy to jump onto this idiotic "sedition" fetish like his Umno brothers and sisters. Also, stop behaving like an undergraduate student who invokes notions like "empirical evidence" and what not. These are empty phrases in real social realities.

CiViC: Tony Pua is a much more competent minister in any and every way compared to KJ.

May: Khairy is just a conniving opportunist, which is really sad, actually. He doesn't need to be one. He should just have more faith in himself and be true.

Thana55: Khairy has this knack of switching from an Oxfordian to a dumb Umno man. That's his problem, which will prevent him from higher office. He should intern under former deputy higher education minister .

Harapanbaru: Khairy is an overeducated slimeball whose political antics have thus far been mostly theatrical - and hardly original.

What4: Khairy, you don't have to comment on everything if you are not good at it. Just keep quiet and nobody would say you are a fool

Spinnot: All we can see now is an admission of stupidity by Khairy.

'Muslim disunity encourages others to challenge Islam'

CiViC: What sort of religious adviser makes statements like this: "Disunity among Muslims in this country has encouraged others to challenge the position of Islam with the aim of destroying the religion"?

Is he implying that non-Muslims are trying to destroy Islam, and that non-Muslims are ridiculing Islam? How on earth did this person become a religious adviser?

What more seditious accusations can one make? (Religious adviser to the prime minister) Abdullah Md Zin, one message for you: the only person ridiculing Islam here is you yourself.

You are a total disgrace to your religion. You used the holy name of Islam to your personal interpretation for your personal interest. And for that I am sure you will rot in hell.

BTN: Just come out and say Malays have to support Umno and that's all. Do not hide behind the issue of religion. There is really no issue at all, until some opportunist for political reasons stirs this up.

Touche: What this racist is in effect saying is that the Muslims must unite and suppress and discriminate all non-Muslims.

Fourtan: Prime Minister , this bigot is advising you on religious matters? And here I thought you were a moderate PM. 1Malaysia? Puke.

Anonymous$&@?: I agree with Abdullah - Muslims should unite. Unite against corruption, cronyism, murder, adultery, cheating, etc... And who are the masters of all these practices?
