Highlighting the first day of the festival was “Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves” show which attracted thousands of visitors to Katara. A spectacular 15-minute pyrotechnics display also drew thousands of audience to the Katara Beachfront. Malls includ- ing the City Center, Landmark, Lagoona Mall, The Gate, Al Khor Mall, Hyatt Plaza and Villaggio also saw many visitors for the variety of performances that kicked off yesterday and con- tinue throughout Eid. The QTA has developed vari- ous programmes for the festival in partnership with different organisations in the country including the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage, the Museum of Islamic Art, Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum, the Qatar Shooting and Archery Association, the Pearl Qatar, Katara, Sawt Al-Rayan, Qatar Air Sports Committee, the Imam Muhammed bin Abdul Wahhab mosque, Aquapark Qatar, and Al Dosari Zoo and the Game Reserve.
