Build UK and CECA SmartCard Audit Results 2017

41 organisations 570 sites Over 27,300 cards audited

On 8 February 2017, Build UK and CECA members took part in a SmartCard Audit to understand how widely Smart technology is being used to read cards carrying the CSCS logo. CSCS SmartCards can be read using the ‘Go-Smart’ app with a card reader or device with near-field communications capacity.

Build UK and CECA are supporting members to adopt Smart technology in their daily activities to

protect against fraud and ensure all employees have the correct and up-to-date qualifications and training for the occupation they are undertaking.

*Fraudulent cards are only identified if the card is read using Smart technology. All fraudulent cards that were identified were passed to the Police for investigation. 1
