The event at Community Bank was presided over by School Board Recognition Month Patricia Vice, who became involved in the fight against cancer years ago for family and friends’ encounters with the disease. Tables were sponsored by local supporters including Community Resource Credit Union and Crawfish Shak. Players enjoyed a night of casino like gambling for prizes and the experience of fellowship and fighting cancer. Tables included the favored blackjack, poker, roulette and a dice table. Hector’s Of Crosby was the caterer of a delicious fajita meal with all the trimmings and sumptuous margaritas. The bargain of the night was that for $10 to charity one could buy $1,000 in chips and play until they burned at the tables or until winnings were amassed enough to buy prizes that included a 9 m.m. pistol. a fabulous fishing trip and a wonderful trip to Oregon.
