Ven. Prof. Dr. Lenagala Siriniwasa Thero is a Professor and the Dean of Faculty of Language Studies at the Buddhist and Pali university of Sri Lanka Pitipana North. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts from University of and Royal Pandith (Oriental Studies Society) before completing his Master’s Degree in Art at the University of Delhi, India. Ven. Prof. Dr. Lenagala Siriniwasa completed his PhD with the focused study area in Banaras Hindu from the University Varanasi, India. He holds both academic and administrative positions at Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka since 2009 up to now with records of contributions to the university and the country. He is the Coordinator of Post Graduate Studies, Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka and a Visiting Lecturer at University of VEN. PROF. DR. LENAGALA Kelaniya. He was also a lecturer at Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka from 2012 to 2015. SIRINIWASA THERO

Ranga Kalansooriya is the Advisor for Asia to the International Media Support in Denmark. He received his PhD in journalism from the University of Sri Jayawardhanapura, Sri Lanka and is a Reuters Fellow of the Oxford University, United Kingdom. He was appointed spokesman to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sri Lanka in 2001 and became Counsellor (Information), Sri Lanka High Commission, Kuala Lumpur. He is a visiting Lecturer in Journalism in several Sri Lankan universities. Ranga attended Reuters Training on International News Writing,London and UN training on Reporting, UN Headquarters, after completing his diploma in News Agency Journalism at Indian Institute of Mass Communications, New Delhi. He is a Member of the Governing Board of the Council for Transnational Threat Research (CATR) established by the Institute of Defence Analysis (IDA) Washington DC. DR. RANGA KALANSOORIYA Ranga received his Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Mathematics) from the Open University of Sri Lanka and his Master’s Degree from Asia-Europe Institute, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. Ranga was the Director General of Sri Lanka Press Institute untik 2019 and also the Director General of the Department of Government Information of the Government of Sri Lanka in 2016/2017.

Professor JASK Jayakody serves as Director, Institute of Human Resource Advancement, University of Colombo on secondment. His substantive position is Professor in Management & Organization Studies at the Department of Management & Organization Studies, Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Colombo where he teaches research methods for master’s and doctoral students and has supervised many dissertations at bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels and serves as an examiner for several doctoral theses. Professor Jayakody completed his B.Sc. in Management (Public) Special from University of Sri Jayewardenepura, and MBA PROFESSOR JASK and PhD from the Postgraduate Institute of Management of the same university. He is also a Commonwealth Fellow. JAYAKODY Professor Jayakody’s research focuses on leadership and change, and relationship exchange in organizations. He has published in journals including International Journal of Human Resource Management, International Journal of Bank Marketing, Journal of Knowledge Management,Journal of Management Development, The Economic and Labour Relation Review and Management Decision. He has served and continues to serve as a member of the editorial board of Leadership, Contemporary Management Research, Sri Lankan Journal of Management.

Samath D. Dharmaratne, MBBS, MSc, MD is the Head and Associate Professor in Community Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, , Sri Lanka, and Affiliate Assistant Professor of Global Health at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington. Dr. Dharmaratne was a Post-Graduate Fellow at IHME, working with the Causes of Death and the Burden of Disease research teams. His research focuses on injury prevention, especially road traffic injury prevention and health care costing, among others. In his role as affiliate faculty, Dr. Dharmaratne will supervise students’ Master of Public Health theses, conducting their practicums in Sri Lanka, among others. PROF. DR. SAMATH Dr. Dharmaratne holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree, a Master of Science degree in Community Medicine, DHAMMINDA and a of Medicine degree in Community Medicine from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. He is a Board Certified DHARMARATNE Specialist in Community Medicine in Sri Lanka. He was awarded a Senior Fellowship at the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine, University of Colombo. He has more than 100 publications (journal articles and presentations) and is a member of a number of expert and advisory groups in injury prevention in Sri Lanka and outside the country. Dr. Dharmaratne was an Honorary aResearch Fellow at the Institute for International Health (affiliated with the ) and worked as a Public Health Consultant at the World Bank in Sri Lanka.

Dr. Mohammad Ismath Ramzy is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Educational Foundation & Humanities, Faculty of Education, University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia. He completed his undergraduate Degree in Arabic Language and Literature in University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. Dr. Ramzy continued his master's programme in Comparative Religion and his thesis was on Shaivism in Hinduism and completed his PhD in Comparative Religion at the International Islamic University, Malaysia (IIUM). He studied the discourses of Ven. Prof. Walpola Rahula Thera for his PhD thesis and has actively participated in interfaith dialogues in many countries including Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Korea, Australia, and where he is also involved in multiculturalism and peace DR. MOHAMMAD ISMATH management. His recent publications include Intercultural Education and Contextualization of Islamic Thought RAMZY in Sri Lanka.

Lochandaka Ranathunga is a senior lecturer from the Department of IT, University of Moratuwa. He received B.Sc (Special) (Hon) Degree from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka and MSc. In Computer Science from University of Colombo. He also received the Postgraduate Diploma in Distance Education Degree from the Indira Ghandhi Open University, India. He obtained his PhD from University of Malaya, Malaysia. He has been working at the Faculty of Information Technology, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka since 2004. His DR. LOCHANDAKA research interest is on Multimedia Information Processing focusing on video content description, reduction of visual RANATHUNGA feature space, semantic video scene indexing and Retrieval. He has published articles in various International Scientific Index Journal (ISI), and conference proceedings. He is a designated reviewer of a number of International Journals and Conferences SPEAKERS:

Ven. Kukurampola Gnanawimala is a Senior Lecturer and the Unit Head ( Education) Department of , National Institute of Education, Maharagama. He received his first degree in Ja’pura followed by Master of Arts and M.Phil Degree from P.G.D.E. (Colombo) and Master in Education at University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. His major is on Curriculum Development and Teachers Training.

VEN. KUKURAMPOLA GNANAWIMALA

Dr. Hussain Ismail commenced his career in 1972 as a graduate teacher and later joined the Teachers’ Training College as a lecturer in 1976. Since 1981, he has served in several universities for more than thirty years in different positions, ranging from a lecturer, a professor to a Head of the department, Dean of the faculty and Vice- Chancellor. During this period he was awarded with fellowships at Open University (United Kingdom), New England University (Australia) and Science and Technology University (Norway) to conduct collaborative research and develop joint degree programs. In the year 2003, he was appointed as the Vice-chancellor of South Eastern University of Sri Lanka. As a Vice- chancellor he faced a tough challenge in rebuilding the university which was badly affected by the tsunami PROFESSOR HUSSAIN disaster and the (then) ongoing civil war. He joined University of Malaya as a Senior Research Fellow in 2009. From ISMAIL 2012 till 2016, he served as a Distinguished Fellow (Fellow Utama) at the Islamic Science University of Malaysia. He has also served as a member of the University Quality Assurance Council and as the chairman of the advisory committee of Ministry of .

Isuru Nadeesha Manawadu currently works at the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies, University of Moratuwa where he is attached with since 2013 until recently. Isuru does research in Financial Economics and Accounting at the University of Malaya where it was converted from his Master’s Degree on a fast track basis due to the outstanding quality of his research work. He received a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Accounting (Special), and also a medal winner for Best Performing Student of the Accounting Department, Faculty o f Management Studies and Commerce of University of Sri Jayewardanepura in convocation 2012.
