8 Burwood Bulletin March – May 2017 Burwood Bulletin March – May 2017 9 The initial steps are designed to remove old subconscious responses, heal emotional wounds and dysfunctional reactions. This simple process can generate a new foundation for your life. “The sub conscience, which is responsible for 80% of our decisions, beliefs and values”, says Beverley, “is affected by pictures, not by language. If you change the pictures in your sub conscience, you change your reactions and your ideas about past experiences. That is why it’s more effective than talking therapy and can worth a heal most persons by ten sessions at the most.” Picture “Every person,” she continues, “has multiple sub personalities; the basic personality is formed by age seven. Every first-time experience lets off a spark in thousand your mind, and a sub personality is created. Every time a similar experience occurs, it builds onto the existing sub personality. The “Your Envisioned Mind” words technique teaches you how to organise your sub personalities and operate them to your advantage. “Your Envisioned Mind”, a not-for-profit organisation, offers a drug-free, gentle way to overcome your issues. “You were not created to feel depressed, guilty, ashamed, condemned, or unworthy”, enthuses Beverley. “You were created to be victorious! No one is ever too broken, too scared or too far-gone. Don’t ORTY-FIVE per cent of people will experience give up and don’t lose faith; we have a very high a mental disorder in their lives – and that success rate: alleviating the disorders of our clients percentage keeps growing. RAINE BIANCALT Unfortunately, an estimated 80% of those experiencing mental disorders don’t seek help, or give up quickly. This not only affects their lives, but also those around them. For 15 years, Beverley Searle, a university-qualified social sciences counsellor, researched anxiety issues, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. This resulted in her developing a drug-free, gentle but powerful mental healing technique that works. Evidence-based research has demonstrated that people can overcome any form of stress, trauma and addictions using such techniques. The challenged person is not only able to lead a constructive life, but also feel safe and happy again. Throughout her childhood in South Australia, Beverley experienced horrendous child abuse by a family member who belonged to a satanic sect. The resulting traumas lasted for many years causing Beverley to go through lengthy psychological treatments which were more harmful than beneficial. Beverley’s nine-step “Your Envisioned Mind” technique includes neuro-psychological theories on memory storage and retrieval in the limbic system; sub-personality theory known as psychosynthesis; and child development and guided visualisation.

He notes: “Through the years we have seen major changes in optometry. We screen, diagnose and manage a range of eye problems to ensure optimum eye health and early detection of pathology. Many people leave their eye tests too long and things can be missed. Commonly, we see glaucoma, macular degeneration and cataract, as well as a broad range of other disorders. We have always tried to provide superior service and the right optical product for each person. Accurate diagnosis and matching people’s requirements to the right optical device are rewarding, but most of all we enjoy the challenge of what we do and I think that comes across to the people we look after”. HERE'S a reason the Box Hill Art Group has been going strong for 65 years this year. TCommencing in 1952, it has serviced its community well, nurturing the talents of thousands of budding artists, as well as stretching the skills of experienced and exhibiting artists along the way. Its weekly classes cater for watercolour, oil, acrylic, pastel, drawing and mixed media. Then there’s the monthly life drawing sessions, all with tutorage from seasoned award-winning artists who are only too eager to pass on their practical secrets about how to make excellent works of art. But there’s more to it than just making art. While we know that painting and drawing are enjoyable, satisfying, therapeutic and good for the soul, Arts Committee said, it also combats social isolation by “Whether you’ve just extending one’s social life, and it retired, or simply have helps in the fight against depression time on your hands, and dementia by stretching one’s I cannot recommend brain in the art of learning. the Box Hill Art Group Not only does the Box Hill Art highly enough.
