NOVEMBER 2009 Edgewood Police Department Recognized for Outstanding Work When I first moved to Edgewood a couple of years ago, I noticed some- thing that was very different from any other place I had ever lived. Police cars regularly patrolled the streets. When I walked or drove around the neighborhood it was unusual not to pass at least one police car. My hus- band and I were amazed. In other cities we had lived in we never saw the police unless there was a problem. Response times were slow and police officers weren’t the friendliest. Edgewood’s visible, professional police department is one of the best perks of being an Edgewood resident and is a big part of why my family loves it here.
