Over the past seven years, Nebraska has earned nearly 150 national publication awards from the College Sports Information Directors of America, including more than 20 "Best in the Nation" honors. The 2003-04 Nebraska women's basketball guide ranked best in the district and 11th nationally by the College Sports Information Directors of America. The guide added a No. 12 finish in 2001-02 and a No. 13 ranking in 1998-99. Griesch's 2000 Nebraska soccer guide was voted third best in the nation by CoSIDA, its fourth straight top-10 finish. In 1997-98, his Nebraska wrestling guide was voted "Best in the Nation" by Amateur Wrestling News and was ranked second by CoSIDA. Griesch earned his bachelor's of journalism degree in news-editorial from Nebraska in 1996 and was the first two-time recipient of the CoSIDA/Wiley Smith Post-Graduate Scholarship. He is now a member of the CoSIDA Scholarship Committee. Griesch and his wife, Emily, have a five-year-old daughter, Hollan, and a three- year-old son, Jackson.
