LOCATION
• Limassol, Cyprus
Limassol is a cosmopolitan sea‐side destination with a unique identity, based on its rich history and culture, its special characteristics and the wide variety of options available for tourists including cycling, bird watching, mini cruises to nearby destinations, Byzantine churches routes, wine routes and much more.
A sun‐lover’s heaven, Limassol is blessed with 16 kilometers of sea‐front. This long stretch of sandy beaches includes areas with excellent facilities, kiosks, restaurants, and clear waters that have been awarded with the Blue Flag label (14 beaches). A line of luxurious hotels back much of the seafront ensuring that modern comforts and an abundance of water‐sports are available including diving, snorkeling, surfing, kite‐ surfing, water skiing or fishing and yachting in the clear Mediterranean waters. The temperature in October averages between 22‐23°C ideal for sun and swim lovers.

VENUE
• Germasogeia Water Dam is located in the suburbs of Limassol, 10‐15 minutes away from the city centre (http://goo.gl/maps/Np94G ). Apart from Dragon Boat training, rowing and canoe/kayak clubs use the dam for their training and races.
ENTRIES/PAYMENT
• Deadline for registration is October 4th, 2015. On this date, completed entry forms are to be submitted and participation fees (€15 per paddler) are to be paid (cash or electronic transfer) to the association. • By this date, teams must indicate the racing categories they wish to participate in.
DIVISION, RACING AND COMPETITION CLASSES
Standard Boat Races
• Mixed Crews=min of 8 and max of 12 female paddlers Division Racing Class 200m 500m Premier Mixed
Small Boat Races
• Mixed crews=min of 4 and max of 6 female paddlers Division Racing Class 200m 500m Premier Mixed Premier Women

OUTLINE PROGRAM ‐ TIMETABLE
12th‐17th October – Arrival of crews, training sessions. Day and time of training sessions will be agreed after registration takes place. There is no charge for teams wishing to train once a day.
16th October – Team captain’s meeting at night
18th October – Race Day. Races will start in the morning and will finish in early afternoon. The exact race schedule will be announced at the team captain’s meeting. An award ceremony and a party will follow the races.
ACCOMMODATION & TRANSPORTATION
The CYDBA can assist with booking a hotel and transport from and to the airport (either Paphos or Larnaca airport) but you are also free to make your own arrangements. Typical hotel rates for hotels near the venue and the coast are around €35‐40/person including breakfast.
Buses can be arranged to pick up athletes from the hotels and take them to the venue. After training and/or races buses will be available to return athletes back to hotel. Car rentals, which we recommend if you want to combine your visit with a little touring of the island, are around €20‐30/day for a small‐ to mid‐sized car (excluding fuel), if you book early.
