Having the chance to interview one of the great seniors of Hurricane High School, Kelbie Dayley. When asked if she seems to be giving up on school she quickly stated YES! Kelbie says she does not even show up any more. All motivation to do a good job is gone and she just doesn't really care anymore. I also asked her to give a emoji to describe how she feels. She told me it would be the rolling eyes emoji. I also interviewed Mr. Cahoon. I asked him if he felt like seniors are giving up and he told me, that he feels some are but not all of them. “It's not that they are giving up it is that they don't work hard any- more.” I asked him to give some advice for the seniors and Mr. Cahoon advice was, “This is just the beginning not the end...at least those that are planning to go to college.” So seniors dont stop working, endure to the end. Only one more month and you will be opening the door to real life.

What is Next Aft er High School?

By Clay Rowland High school has taken up almost all of our lives up until this point. We are getting to the age where it's time to move on to bigger and better things. Some of the most popular choices for things to do aft er high school include, college, mission, or work. Hopefully you aren't one of those graduates who sit at home and mooch off their parent’s hard earned cash for the next 20 years. If you decide on college, there are many options to choose from. You can stay somewhat local and go to Dixie State or SUU. College is a great choice if you are willing to spend the money and the time to commit to it. Now if you are one of the people who decides to go straight into work that's good too. Most people who do this either have a secure job that they are comfortable with and can work their way up, or it’s people who have no idea what they are doing and just try to stay busy and make an income. Whatever you pick, I'm sure you will grow to be happy and successful.

Lacrosse Who? By Adison Ellsworth A lot of you may not know that Hurricane High has a girls lacrosse team. It is a club team. However, we play our games at the high school and our name is Hur- ricane. Last year we took state in Nevada; this year we hope to take state again. London Gubler stated, “La- crosse is so cool. I’m happy I decided to play”. Lacrosse is kind of like Region 9 Girls Basketball; all of the teams are pretty even, so almost all of our games are close games. It makes our lacrosse games more interesting and fun to watch and play. This year we had three girls who tried the sport for the first time and are starters now (Amanda Carter, London Gubler, and Lily Guz- Finsta By Kelbie and Candice man). 5 Food/Adopt A Dog

Hurricane’s Costa Vida By Jorge Sanchez Over a year ago Costa Vida was placed in front of the Hurricane Cinema and began business. For the first couple of months, Costa Vida was great and everyone loved it. Now time has gone by and ratings have gone down for our local Costa Vida. Why? Because Costa Vida’s customer service and food quality has gone down over time. Their customer service is very poor, the wait time for food is dramatically long, and their food is be- ing made at a perfunctory level. When someone Maverick the Adoptable walks into a restaurant they want to feel like they By Ashlynn are welcome and feel like they belong there; not Have you ever wanted the perfect dog? Not only was tion at rsqdogsutah.org. Durango’s timing great, but their customer service was way better than Costa Vida’s. On top of that, Durango’s food quality was way more professional than Costa Vida’s. Costa Vida gives out burnt meals, chewy/stretchy quesadillas, soggy salads and more. Finally, Costa Vida’s prices do not match their portions at all. They are more expen- sive than Durango’s and give less food. Durango’s gives you cheaper meals and gives you three times more food than Costa Vida will. The owners of Costa Vida really need to train their workers to be more professional because as time goes by, fewer and fewer people will go to Costa Vida. If they can’t get Costa Vida to function well, then Du- rango’s could always come back.
