Peterborough, ON (September 7, 2017): On September 6, 2017, the Gaming East Limited Partnership (“OGELP”) hosted an official ground breaking ceremony at 1400 Crawford Drive in Peterborough, Ontario and marked the anticipated start of construction of Shorelines Casino Peterborough.

“With the shovels in the ground we are one step closer to building a modern, state-of-the-art gaming venue that will feature a series of gaming and non-gaming amenities,” said Andy LaCroix, Executive Director, Stakeholder Relations. “The entire team at Shorelines Slots at Kawartha Downs is excited about joining the Peterborough community,” added LaCroix.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by members of the senior executive team of OGELP, the Ontario Lottery Gaming Corporation (OLG), community stakeholders and elected representatives of the community.

OGLEP, in which Great Canadian Gaming Corporation is the majority shareholder and lead operator, was selected as the successful proponent by OLG to operate gaming facilities in OLG’s Gaming Bundle 2 (East Gaming Bundle).
