4 THE CTI AND EUR-ACE
The CTI, Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur, provides higher education institutions with quality assurance accreditation that is internationally recognized. It is also part of the ENAEE (European Network for Engineering Education) and was one of the founding members of the EUR-ACE project (European Accreditation for Engineering). This project has established a European network which authorizes accreditation for engineering degree programs. An engineering degree is automatically accredited as a Master’s degree, in compliance with international standards. This title is protected by French law and reserved for accredited schools.

5 Our master of engineering
The Master of Engineering program at EPITA is spread over a period of 2 years and divided into 4 semesters. It is a balance between computer science, mathematics, management, engineering science, business exposure and technical skills. Our pedagogical approach is focused on learning through projects, workshops and seminars. To obtain their degree, students must acquire 120 ECTS (European Credits Transfer Systems) over a 2 year period.

The SDM specialization trains students to become future Digital Leaders, who are able to innovate, suggest new contents, new uses, and new services, based on open source technologies or those of major publishers (Microsoft, Adobe, etc.). In a global context where digital technologies are becoming increasingly strategic, SDM prepares full-stack developers: they gain knowledge in system infrastructure database API and back-end programming, as well as front-end and project management techniques. At the end students gain knowledge in Back-End, Front-End, Data Basis, mobile applications and video game development. They show technological diligence, strong listening skills and are able to manage the human factor linked to new uses.

The Master's program met all my expectations, in terms of Bolivia strategic areas such as Advanced Programming Languages, Software Project Management, Web and Mobile Applications Development. The SNS specialization teaches students about systems (from design to administration), networks (existing and new generation), security (functional and technical) and organization (governance, management systems...). Drawing on their knowledge of businesses and fundamental control mechanisms, SNS engineers are prepared to work as chief information security officers (CISO) and know how to take effective cyber-security measures. Thanks to their ability to understand the risks and governance of a business as well as identify areas of improvement linked to infrastructure technologies and new associated services, students are well-prepared to detect and analyze cyber-attacks.

Our last educational period is organized around a 6-month company internship, culminating in a Master’s thesis presented on-campus in front of the Graduate Committee. This required internship allows students to discover the latest technologies while gaining valuable experience. Feedback from the internship host companies has been overwhelmingly supportive of our programs. Students of our Master of Engineering are paid between €1,200 and €1,600 per month during their internships.
To find these internships, the career services office at EPITA organizes several events: • Career fair: the Business Forum for Engineering and Information Technology. Each year, EPITA organizes this event bringing together companies willing to meet our students and recent graduates. • Speed dating: 30-minute interviews between students and firms looking for interns and companies offering job opportunities for young graduates. • Conferences Week: these weeks are scheduled twice yearly by companies to share their experiences and present their newest applications. The 60 to 90 minute meetings help students gain insight into the latest business trends.

Classes are divided into different groups to suit every level. The group levels are based on the CEFRL scale: A1 (Beginner), A2 (Elementary level), B1 and B2 (intermediate and upper-intermediate levels) and are composed of 16 students maximum. The objective is to reach a B2 level at the end of the Master's program. EPITA’s teaching methods are focused on developing CEFRL’s four key skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) and enhancing socio-cultural knowledge. At the end of the program, each student will take an official and internationally recognized French test to evaluate the level reached.
