Humanitarian Response National Extent of Assistance Provided by Government Agencies and LGUs as of July 3, 2008 (TAB E) NDCC - Php 16,507,125 DSWD - Php 31,906,915 DOH - Php 15,611,099 LGUs - Php 19,197,403 NGOs - Php 2,343,880 TOTAL - Php 85,566,423 International and Local Assistance/Donations (Tab F) International assistance/donations from foreign governments and INGOS through PNRC, DSWD and NDCC Cash - US $ 610,000.00 (USAID, France thru PNRC and Korea and China thru DCC) Aus$ 500,000.00 (AUSAID thru PNRC) In kind - Php 7,680,000.00 (Spanish and JICA) US$ 650,000.00 (USAID thru PNRC) Local Assistance/Donations from NGOs and Private Organizations and Individuals Cash - Php 1,038,162.50 (thru DSWD) In kind - more than Php 2,272,186.00 (others have no declared amount) • Relief Operations From June 22- July 6, 2008, the NDCC-OPCEN facilitated the following: o Airlift of 585,108 lbs. or 265.96 tons of cargoes to Iloilo and Aklan o Transport of 65,580 lbs or 29.75 tons via Lucena Port and Batangas Port intended for Marinduque, Rmblon, Iloilo and Aklan o Air Assets Utilized - 18 sorties C-130, 4 sorties F-27, 1 sortie US C-2 and 1 sortie SeaAir - 24 sorties o Sea and Land Assets Utilized - 2 RoRo, 2 Naval Ships, 4 ten-wheeler trucks • Release of 18,090 sacks of rice amounting to P16,507,125.00 which have been distributed to 11 regions: I (200); III (960); IV-A (1,300); IV-B (1,150); V (250); VI (11,300); VII (500); VIII (500); XII (1,040); NCR (300); and ARMM (600) • As of 6 July 2008, there are still 24,488 lbs of relief cargoes and family food pack at Villamor Air Base (4,488 lbs relief items and medicine) and North Harbor (20,000 lbs food pack) ready for transport to Iloilo, Aklan and Romlon provinces. The family food pack will be transported to Romblon on Tuesday, July 08 via DHL shipping. These are donations from NDCC, DSWD, BCBP, PGH and Cong. Quimpo 3 • Airlifted today, July 06, 2008, the assorted relief goods and used clothing weighing 35,610 lbs from GMA Network, Hospicio de San Jose, Mr. Villareal and Ms. Sedonio for Iloilo via C-130 • DA facilitated the release of 5 tons of fresh fish to be shipped to Kalibo, Aklan and provided 100 pcs. gill nets for Aklan residents; deployed DA-BFAR vessel to conduct fishing expedition for Aklan residents; issued an advisory that fish in Romblon and Northern Panay areas is safe for human consumption; procured 20,000 bags of certified seeds for distribution to farmers; and, distributed vegetable seeds and fertilizer discount coupons at P250.00 fertilizer discount per bag to 200,000 farmers distributed as follows: Dumangas Iloilo 4,000 pcs; Iloilo Province 4.000 pcs; Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo 4,000 pcs; Kalibo, Aklan 2,000 pcs; Banga, Aklan – 2,000 pcs; and Pan-ay, Capiz – 4,000 pcs • Region XII - CDCC Cotabato City put up community kitchen in coordination with BDCCs; distributed rations of food packs at evacuation centers; and provided food and financial assistance to 5 dead victims. City government provided P3 M for the victims (P1.6 M for food and other needs; P4M for admin cost and P1M medical assistance) • DSWD XII provided 1,400 packages of food assistance about 19 NGOs supported its relief operations in terms of food, man power, used clothing, NFIs, cash, medicines and recreational activities of children III.
