The three notes catalogue at $160,000 each, or $480,000, and it would not be unreasonable to expect at least a 50% premium for the rarity of this note as a trio. William Robert Bell was an Australian official in the British Solomon Islands Protectorate, who served as the District Officer of Malaita from 1915 until 1927 when he was killed while collecting a head tax from the Kwaio of central Malaita. His death set off the Malaitia Massacre, in which several other colonial officials were killed in a Kwaio attack, which led to a punitive expedition in which many Kwaio were killed or incarcerated in retaliation. Also includes original photo on board of Bell in The Crown Studios envelope, & original photo of Captain Bell in DSO uniform with Capt O’Reilly & Lt Maygar. $8000-8500

He was appointed a Companion of the Order of St Michael & St George in 1919, & was later appointed Knight Commander of the order in 1941. George Bell went on after the war to become a high level politician until 1943. He was given a state funeral upon his death in Tasmania.
