YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 Flight to Rapid City, South Dakota. Guided tour of Deadwood. Hear about the Ft. Laramie Treaty of 1868, Custer’s Expedition to the Black Hills that started the Gold Spearfish Rush of 1874, Jack McCall, , and Potato Creek Johnny. Deadwood Rapid City Gaze down at Deadwood Gulch while enjoying the breeze and the essence of ponderosa Mt. Rushmore Badlands pines from the Mt. Moriah lookout, a 300-foot cliff. Check in to the Holiday Inn Express, Deadwood for 1 night. Dinner in Deadwood. Free evening in Deadwood. Plenty of excitement can be found along Deadwood’s 1890s Main Street with shops, casinos, saloons, restaurants & emporiums.

Travel scenic Byway 14A to Spearfish Canyon where some scenes of the movie were filmed. View Bridal Veil Falls, Little Spearfish Falls, & Roughlock Falls. Arrive in Hill City with free time for lunch & shopping. Board the 1880s Train. Travel to Custer State Park and check in to the State Park Game Lodge for a 4-night stay. This historic lodge served as a summer White House for Presidents Coolidge & Eisenhower. Dinner at the lodge. DAY 3 Breakfast. Travel to Wall, SD, to visit Wall Drug Store, the world’s largest drug store opened in 1931 with free time for lunch & shopping. Visit the Ben Reifel Visitor Center at Badlands National Park. Scenic drive through the Badlands National Park where wind & water have carved an eerie world of deep gorges, saw-edged spires and grassy topped - creating a fabulous painted landscape. Dinner. DAY 4 Breakfast. Buffalo Jeep Ride into the back country of Custer State Park to observe the largest buffalo herd in North America. Keep your eyes open for , mountain goats, antelope, deer, and turkey. Visit the Memorial. Dinner at the lodge. Mount Rushmore Evening Illumination. DAY 5 Breakfast. Visit Mount Rushmore. Black Hills guided tour: Iron Mountain, Needles Highway, Keystone, Sylvan Lake. Old fashioned hayride to Mountain Meadow Blue Bell Canyon for Chuckwagon Dinner & musical entertainment. DAY 6 Breakfast. Flight home.
