Council extended an open invitation to him to attend TAC meetings. New Business: • YESAB Assessment-Yukon Electrical Tagish Road Powerline Rebuild Km 20-23.7: YEC’s project proposal was presented and discussed. Although there is not a definite starting date, March 13th is deadline for public comments. Paul instructed TAC to forward comments to him by Monday and he will forward to YESAB. Randy noted that the CTRRC planned to comment regarding the timing of the project with the spring bird migration. • CBC Radio Reception: Rich Martin spoke regarding the lack of CBC Whitehorse reception since the signal was switched from AM to FM. Rich indicated he has written to Kevin Barr, Ryan Leif, the CRTC, and the president of CBC Whitehorse. Rich was informed that the existing decommissioned AM tower could be modified for $6000 to rebroadcast the signal in FM. Rich is asking for more people to complain about this issue and for TAC to write a letter of support.

Geoff Peters has been promoted to Corporal, which leaves the detachment 1 member short for 3-4 months before Cpl Peters’ position is backfilled. • Zero Waste Campaign: Council questioned whether this was more appropriate for AYC or Community Services. Kevin Barr informed TAC that there have been problems with the issuing of the contract for transportation of the recyclables. This council was to be entirely composed of persons appointed by the Governor in Council. Act In 1899 the Parliament of Canada amended the to increase the size of the council by adding two elected members to it. A further amendment in 1902 added three more Act elected members to the council. In 1908 the was again amended to provide for an entirely elected council of 10 members. Prior to the 1978 general election, Members were elected to the territorial council or Legislative Assembly as independent members. Some, however, had known federal political affiliations.
