NEWS FLASH Paris, 16 April 2012 SOCIETE GENERALE PRIVATE BANKING RENEWS ITS PARTNERSHIPS WITH GOLFERS JEEV MILKHA SINGH AND CHRISTIAN CEVEAR Societe Generale Private Banking has renewed its support for the Indian player Jeev Milkha Singh, the first ever Indian golfer qualified for the European Tour and the Augusta Masters, and for the French golfer, Christian Cevaër, winner of the European Tour in 2009. The sponsorship contracts will each last for two years. The private bank today sponsors four international golfers including the Argentinian golf player, Angel Cabrera, winner of the US Open in 2007 and the Augusta Masters in 2009, and Thomas Levet, winner of the French Open in 2011 and the Andalucian Open in 2008. Renewing these partnerships enables Societe Generale Private Banking to offer its private clients the opportunity to play with top- level golfers through an exclusive events programme organised around this sport throughout the world. These partnerships are part of an approach by Societe Generale Group which began in 2001. That year, the bank became a major partner of the French Golf Federation, then, in 2008, of the Evian Masters, a major international womens’ tournament. *** Jeev Milkha Singh is the first Indian golfer to qualify for The European Tour continued to compete at the very highest level in 2009, finishing fourth in the WGC-CA Championship – one of three top ten finishes which helped him to 34th position in the inaugural Race to Dubai. His third European Tour career victory came in 2008 in Austria. A consistently strong season saw him finish in the top ten eight times, worth 12th place on the money list. -
