The Environmental Impact Assessment (Land Drainage Improvement Works) Regulations 1999 (as amended)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the AND NORTH NOTTINGHAMSHIRE WATER LEVEL MANAGEMENT BOARD propose to carry out improvement works on the following watercourses and pumping stations in the Board’s statutory district from 2017 to 2019.

Works will involve the replacement of the diesel pump with an electric pump and general improvements to Kelfield Pumping Station. The improvement of Board maintained watercourses by re-profiling of one bank and upgrading of culverts. The improvement of a private riparian watercourse by re-profiling of one bank to enable it to be adopted and maintained by the Board. Bank raising along Kelfield Catchwater Drain to prevent overtopping into adjacent properties. All works will be carried out on one bank only which will be selected as necessary to minimise the environmental impact, following a technical and environmental survey.

The Board considers that the proposals are not likely to have a significant effect on the environment and does not, therefore, intend to prepare an Environmental Statement in respect of the works.

Any person or body who wishes to make representations to the Board in relation to the likely environmental impact of these proposals, must do so in writing to the offices of the Board at the address below within 30 days of the publication of this notice.
