I have seen dogs on the beach urinating and defecating on and in the sand where my grandchildren sit, playing while building sand castles. These children can also not speak for themselves. However I believe there is a place for pets and the beach is not one of them. To be a responsible animal owner one must keep them out of the sun, make sure they have water and carry a bag to clean up after them, but also to think of those children who play in that same sand. Now who is more important, your enslaved dog or a child? Also quit blaming the visitors who come to your island, spending money, how high would your taxes be without them? In closing I believe that the beach should be a place to enjoy the water and sun, for children to play, for my grandchildren to build to their hearts content and this is more important than any dog.
