The ACT, SAT, and COMPASS assessments are accepted for admission to Hawkeye. • On the ACT, Hawkeye evaluates the English, reading, and math subscores. Each subscore must be 19 or above for admission to the college. If any subscore is below 19, you must take the COMPASS assessment in that area. • If you did not take an assessment, you need to complete the COMPASS assessment. The COMPASS assessment will assess your abilities in reading, writing, and math. To schedule a time to take the COMPASS assessment call Student Services at 319-296-4014.

3. Have official transcripts sent: • Official high school transcripts and/or GED scores must be sent to the Admissions Office. Several technical programs require specific high school courses for admittance. • If you attended college and want to receive possible credit for classes you already completed, you will need to have your previous colleges send an official college transcript to the Hawkeye Admissions office.
