8:45 pm Featured Entertainer Big & Rich 10 10 BIG & RICH Big & Rich are America’s Technicolor cowboys, brothers-in-arms in service to the creed that great music has no boundaries. Individually, and are first-rate musicians, songwriters, producers, entertainers. Together, they are one of the most truly original musical forces ever unleashed on a welcoming world. Big & Rich have made a career of being relatable and musically relevant since exploding into the public consciousness in 2003 as the rarest of breeds — true game changers.

With 2004’s triple-platinum “Horse of a Different Color,” they were able to tap into the best strands of a wide spectrum of popular music, filter them through their pens and voices and produce a sound that is instantly recognizable, if not classifiable.

Big Kenny

William Kenneth Alphin, best known by his stage name Big Kenny, is an American country music singer. He and John Rich comprise the duo Big & Rich, who recorded four studio albums and charted fifteen singles on the Billboard chart.

Before Big & Rich, Big Kenny recorded a solo album, Live a Little, for Hollywood Records in 1999 (although it was not released until 2005) and fronted a band called luvjOi. He has also written or co-written several of Big & Rich’s songs with Rich, as well as singles for , , McBride & the Ride, and Tim McGraw.

His first solo single, “Long After I’m Gone,” was released to country radio on August 3, 2009, from the album, The Quiet Times of a Rock and Roll Farm Boy.

John Rich

John Rich is an American country music singer-songwriter. From 1992 to 1998, he was a member of the country music band , in which he played bass guitar and alternated with Richie McDonald as lead vocalist. After departing from the band in 1998, he embarked on a solo career on BNA Records in the late 1990s, releasing two singles for the label and recording Underneath the Same Moon, which was not released until 2006.

In 2001, he self-released Rescue Me, an album he was inspired to record by a cancer patient named Katie Darnell. By 2003, he joined Big Kenny to form the duo Big & Rich, who released three albums on Warner Bros.

11 11 OTHER DONATIONS

Throughout the years, the Foundation has been able to give back more than one million dollars to Frenship ISD because of generous donations from community members. Whether it’s time, talent, or treasure, the Foundation is grateful for your support.

Sponsor a Teacher Grant

Teacher grants are awarded to teachers who have shown innovative practices that require additional funding to continue that endeavor. These initiatives must enrich students’ academic performance and extend the education efforts of teachers. The Foundation invites you to support the efforts of Frenship’s innovative teachers by sponsoring a grant in any of the following amounts: $500, $1,000, $2,000 or $5,000

Alumni & Friends

This organization is a collection of Frenship alumni who unite to continue to fulfill Frenship’s mission to Seek Perfection, Capture Excellence.

Frenship Employee Emergency Relief Fund

The Frenship Employee Emergency Relief Fund (FEERF) is under the Frenship Foundation but handled through Frenship Independent School District. The committee is made up of members from each campus across the district. The Frenship Emergency Relief Fund is in place to support all current Frenship ISD employees who need emergency financial assistance due to unexpected emergencies or crises.

These emergencies could be the result of reduced hours, spouse’s loss of a job, family illness or death, car accident, or several other situations that come up unexpectedly. For the 2018-2019 school year, the relief fund was able to assist on 21 occasions for employees in need and contributed a total of $24,750.00 through employee payroll deductions.

We currently have 481 employees contributing to the 2019-2020 school year. Each month, Frenship employees give approximately $2,165.50.

FEERF collects money from t-shirt sales and employee memberships. The difference our employees have been able to make by helping one another in need is a true picture of The Frenship Way.
