Listed below are noteworthy road works of which the Traffic and Road Safety Section has been informed. Details are supplied as per information received by 16:00 hrs on the preceding Thursday. PROPOSED ROAD CLOSURES
» Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 Temporary Closure of Carysfort Avenue, Blackrock
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has received an application from Bracegrade Ltd., Taney Hall, Eglinton Terrace, Dundrum, to temporarily close Carysfort Avenue, Blackrock from its junction with Convent Road to its junction with Frascati Road to through traffic from Tuesday, 23rd August 2016 to Wednesday, 31st August 2016.
The purpose of the closure is to make a new drainage connection for the new housing development on Frascati Road.
A Traffic Management Plan will be in place and the diversion routes will be clearly signposted.
Local Access will be maintained at all times.

Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 Temporary Closure of Tivoli Terrace South, Dún Laoghaire
Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council proposes to temporarily close Tivoli Terrace South, Dun Laoghaire from its Junction with York Road to its Junction with Tivoli Terrace East from Wednesday, 17th August 2016 to Friday, 21st October 2016 inclusive, in order to facilitate road restoration and associated works as part of Dún Laoghaire- Rathdown County Council’s Road Restoration Programme 2016.
A Traffic Management Plan with diversion routes will be in operation and local access will be maintained for the full duration of the works.

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Traffic Section has approved the temporary closure of Commons Road, Loughlinstown from its Junction with N11 to its Junction with Shanganagh Road from Wednesday, 10th August 2016 to Friday, 16th September 2016 inclusive, in order to facilitate road restoration and associated works as part of Dún Laoghaire Rathdown-County Council’s Road Restoration Programme 2016
A Traffic Management Plan with diversion routes will be in operation and local access will be maintained for the full duration of the works.
Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 Temporary Closure of Killiney Road, Killiney
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Traffic Section has approved the application received from Amazon Developments, Unit 4 Ballymount Corporate Park, Ballymount Avenue Upper, Ballymount, Dublin 12 to temporarily close Killiney Road from the junction of Ballinclea Road to Killiney Hill Road to through traffic from Monday, 8th August 2016 to Wednesday, 17th August 2016.
The purpose of the closure is to make a connection to the mains water and foul water system to a new housing estate and also a surface water culvert diversion.
A Traffic Management Plan will be in place and the diversion routes will be clearly signposted.
Local Access will be maintained at all times.

# Bird Avenue Road and Footpath Improvements Scheme
Works to be undertaken from 22nd August to end November 2016
Proposed Road Works and Traffic Management Notice
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, Road Maintenance Section, propose to undertake extensive road and footpath improvement works along Bird Avenue, Clonskeagh, Dublin 14.
This work will involve full road reconstruction. Drainage works and kerb realignments to facilitate the provision of indented parking.
While local access will be maintained at all times, these works will entail severe restrictions for through traffic in order that the Scheme can be completed in a safe and efficient manner.
A Traffic Management Plan will be in place.
ROADWORKS / LANE RESTRICTIONS
» Commons Road, Loughlinstown ***
A temporary road closure will be in place on Commons Road, commencing Wednesday, 10th August 2016 for duration of 4 weeks to facilitate road restoration and associated works as part of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council’s Road Restoration Programme 2016.
Commons Road will be closed from its junction with the N11 to Shanganagh Road with a signed detour put in place. There will be no access to Commons Road from the N11 and Local access will be maintained from Shanganagh Road ONLY for the duration of the works. Traffic approaching from the N11 will be diverted via Loughlinstown Roundabout, Dublin Road, and Shanganagh Road. On street parking within the works area will be restricted, however, local access will be maintained at all times for residents. Works will be undertaken during the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 hrs.
» Allen Park Road/Drive, Stillorgan **
Road resurfacing works will commence on Monday, 8th August 2016 until Friday, 26th August 2016 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs.
A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

» Public Lighting Lantern and Bracket Upgrade Works **
Public lighting lantern and bracket upgrade works will take place on:
1. Goatstown Road 2. Crofton Road 3. Wyckham way 4. Mount Anville Road 5. Roebuck Road
These works will continue until Friday, 25th November 2016.
A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in operation as required.
» Shanganagh Road, Shankill **
Works to facilitate a water mains connection on behalf of Cairn PLC will take place on Monday, 8th August between 09:30 and 16:30 hrs. plus Tuesday, 9th August 2016 between 06.00 and 16:30 hrs.
A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.
» Sandyford Road at Ardglas Estate/Willowbank, Sandyford * (Night Works)
Works will continue on drainage repairs – to be completed on Friday, 12th August 2016 between 20:00 and 06:00 hrs.
A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.
» Silchester Park (part of), Glenageary *
Minor footpath repair works will be undertaken during the week commencing Monday, 8th August 2016 ending Tuesday, 9th August 2016 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs.

» St. Patrick’s Park, Stepaside *
Trial hole investigation works will commence between the days of Monday, 8th August 2016 and Friday, 12th August 2016 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs.

Grange Road, Rathfarnham **
Footpath restoration works will commence at the junction of Grange Road with College Road extending to Pine Valley Avenue on Tuesday, 2nd August until Friday, 19th August 2016 between 10:00 and 19:00 hrs.
A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.
Convent Road, Blackrock **
KN Network Services will be carrying out footpath widening works on Convent Road, Blackrock from its junction with Carysfort Avenue to Carysfort National School Entrance.
Works will be carried out from Monday, 18th July 2016 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs. for 8 weeks.
A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.
N11 / Johnstown Road Junction **
Works to facilitate the upgrade of the junction of Stillorgan Road / Johnstown Road junction will take place from the end of May 2016 to the end of October 2016. Various traffic restrictions will apply over the duration of the scheme. The outbound bus lane on the N11 is currently closed approaching the junction and works are ongoing along Johnstown Road and on the N11 approaching the junction.
A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of the works.
