And, we love to recognize those people in our communities who do the same. So, we want to thank Ryan and all of the other volunteers for the work they do to keep our Each year, Noventis sponsors 15 school breakfast programs communities’ kids fueled up and ready to learn! within our communities, including the one at Fisher Branch Early Years.

Alison Malenchak got the ball rolling 18 years ago, and it is still going strong today. Any child who shows up and wants some breakfast is served, and some days the program feeds as many as 30 kids.

Ryan Gauthier is a grade 12 student at the nearby Fisher Branch Collegiate, and he is one of the program’s volunteers. Every Thursday, Ryan - along with his grandmother Pat – serves up hot and cold food options, including; toast, eggs, fruit and milk.

Ryan has been volunteering with the program since he was in grade 8, and his volunteer work has earned him not just a credit at school, but the respect and admiration of his teachers, the community, and most importantly – the kids he helps to get a good start every Thursday.
