III. Exam Format: There will be a combination of - Map questions from place name list below. - A choice of short essay questions from all the topics covered. Be able to discuss such geographic issues as aspects of Long Island’s sequence set- tlement pattern, development during the 20th century, suburbanization, changing population and demographic patterns, changing economic activities, environmental issues, and the role of planning for future use. Of course, its physical environment cannot be forgotten, so review your notes on landforms, climate, coastal processes and groundwater.
