Temple University Summer Owls Leadership Program ● For students completing grades 10 and 11 ● Opportunity to earn 3 college credits in courses in business, media and communication, health professions, or science ● Additional workshops in time management, study skills, and organization ● Held July 13­August 2, 2015 ● Cost in 2014 was $4,195 (2015 cost is TBA) and includes the college course, room, board, workshops, and activities ● Students applying by March 17, 2015 will have their $55 application fee waived. Cornell University Summer College Programs for High School Students ● For students completing grades 10­12 ● Opportunity to choose from over 60 courses and earn between 3­6 college credit ○ Three week session 1: June 20­July 11 ○ Three week session 2: July 12­August 1 ○ Six week programs: June 20­August 4 ● Cost is $6,020 for a three week program and $11,950 for a six week program including classes, room, and board ● Limited financial aid is available ● Admission deadline is May 1st for most programs ○ Financial aid deadline is April 3 for most programs ● For more information and to apply see ​www.summercollege.cornell.edu Questions? Marist College Summer Pre­College ● For students entering grades 11 and 12 ● Two campus options­ Marist College’s New York state or Florence, Italy campuses ● Dates: ○ New York Session 1­ June 28­July 11, 2015 ○ New York Session 2­ July 12­25, 2015 ○ Italy­ July 12, 2015 ● Students earn 3 college credits in programs such as business, fashion design, theater performance, interior design, game design and more ● Cost including tuition, fees, housing, all meals, and field trips: ○ New York Session 1 or 2­ $3,250 (3 college credits) ○ New York Session 1 and 2­ $6,175 (6 college credits) ○ Italy­ $4,000 (3 college credits) ○ New York Session 1 and Italy­ $6,925 (6 college credits) ● There is no financial support available ● Program acceptance based on high school academic record, recommendation letter, and short essay Questions? Boston University New England Center for Investigative Reporting (NECIR) High School Investigative Journalism Workshop ● Held at Boston University ● Three sessions: ○ June 29­July 10, 2015 ○ July 13­24, 2015 ○ July 27­August 7, 2015 ● Opportunity for students to work alongside Boston University faculty and other journalists on NECIR’s website as well as regional and national publications ● Tuition for the program is $2,200. Housing is $433 and meals are $325 for 14 meals a week and $391 for 19 meals per week ● Financial aid is available on a first come, first serve basis ● To apply, students must submit a completed application, writing sample, high school transcript, and teacher letter of recommendation Questions? Carnegie Mellon Summer Pre­College Program ● Held June 28­August 9 at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA ● For rising 11th and 12th grade students ● Programs in Architecture, Art and Design, Drama, Music, Video Game Design ● Additional program in Advanced Placement to allow students to take University classes ● A completed application includes test scores, essay, letters of recommendation and transcript and is due by May 1, 2015. ● Cost varies by program and ranges between approximately $7,000­8,500 including tuition, room and board, and activities ● For more information see ​http://admission.enrollment.cmu.edu/pages/pre­college

Susquehanna University High School Choral Institute ● Held July 5­11, 2015 at Susquehanna University ● For students entering grades 9­12 ● Admission is based on recommendation letter submitted by choral director, voice teacher, or school counselor describing student’s musical talent as well as character ● Cost of the program is $560 if application submitted on or before May 1, 6560 if submitted after May 1 and includes tuition, room, and board. Susquehanna University High School Wind Ensemble Institute ● Held June 21­27, 2015 at Susquehanna University ● 54 students entering grades 9­12 are selected each year to participate ● Students must play one of the following to audition: ○ Flute ○ ○ Saxophone ○ ○ Horn ○ Trombone ○ Euphonium ○ Tuba ○ Percussion (must audition on two of the following: timpani, snare drum or mallet percussion ● Cost of the program is $610 if audition materials are received before January 1, $660 if audition materials are received after January 1 ● For more information on how to apply see http://www.susqu.edu/about/windensemble.asp

Susquehanna University Writer’s Workshop ● Advanced creative writing program held July 5­11, 2015 at Susquehanna University ● For students entering grades 11­12 ● Admission to the program is selective and includes submitting a writing portfolio of poems or fiction/non­fiction writing ● Cost for the program is $770 if students apply before April 15 and $810 if students apply after April 15. Military Academies

United States Coast Guard Academy Academy Introduction Mission (AIM) ● For current 11th grade students interested in experiencing the academic, military, and physical challenges of the Coast Guard Academy ● Three sessions each running for five days: ○ July 5­10 ○ July 12­17 ○ July 19­24
